I haven't used any others but absolutely agree with the Xiaomi - especially if only using on wooden floors.
Using gen 1 on my wood floor! Love it.
I wonder if anyone bought ALDI's brand. It has 'mop' function. Wonder if anyone has good things to say about it
If you have carpet, HIGHLY recommend getting 2nd gen (which is significantly cheaper too).
I have mix of carpet, only in bedrooms, tiles everywhere else. Why would gen 2 be better?
So, pretty much I have both gen 1 and 2.
The only issue with gen 1 is that it struggles to go up any carpet that is like 0.5cm or above in height so like a Persian carpet for example.
If the area isn't that high then gen 1 is fine to use.
Gen 1 so you mean there's a gen 2? How does the two compare?
gen 2 has mop but every 30 mins you will have to fill up water in the small tank. i usually use it without the mop. gen 2 has longer battery life and better suction i heard?
Does anyone have the i7+ model that has the 'emptying' home base?
If so, would you recommend?I think if it doesn't have the laser guidance system I'd stay away. The random bumping into furniture over and over and over again leaves marks. Xiaomi is the way to go. I have 2 (2 floors) and they replaced a roomba and I have never looked back.
Check out this channel, he does heaps of comparrisons and tests against different robo vaccums. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvavJlMjlTd4wLwi9yKCtew there is a vid of the model

I have Xiaomi 1st gen. It stopped changing after a year. Device is good but warranty is real pain.
one of mine is 2.5 years, another 1.5, going no issues at all.
Anyone running this unit, if so how do you like it?
Xiaomi is better by far, it utilises slam position mapping. This Roomba utilises infared sensors that allows it to just bounce of objects for 60 minutes. The Roomba is a good DIY vacuum robot to build because the technology is 20 years old.
wondering who neg you, I'd like to know why they neg. Either just hurt feelings because they paid too much, or they can explain better what the technologies are involved.
Because the Roomba is a scam vacuum…. Why don't you buy a couple
Thanks for the information, i'm happy with my xiaomi vacuum.
Better to buy the Xiaomi Robovac 1st Gen for less than half the price.
