  • Is there a difference between the IMI Xiaobai with the white plastic around the lens, and the Mijia 1080p one with the black plastic look around the lens?

    • +1

      Funny you ask this question.

I just bought one Mijia 1080P from Ebay yesterday:
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/XIAOMI-Mijia-360-Home-Security-S…
Then, I come across this deal today. I was wondering what's the difference between them asa well.
I did quick reading on Chinese version of Quora where same question was asked in 2017.:
      https://www.zhihu.com/question/60000117
Long story short. When they first come out MIJIA only has 720P where XIAOBAI has 1080P and voice interaction.
XIAOBAI costs more, however MIJIA version is pretty much on the same page now.
I checked youtube as well, some review says one is international version the other one is Chinese mainland version.
They might have difference on how to set them up on MIJIA app but not so much on hardware specs.

      • I'll get one of these and see what the difference is. I already have the Mijia 1080p and have always wondered why there are so many different Xiaomi product lines of similar things.

  • Is Xiaobai able to follow people movement?

  • -2

Isn't AU$45.66 standard price? Op you can do better!
You can get the Mijia 1080p on sale around $30 AUD.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/xiaomi-mijia-dafang

    • That's totally diff model

      • But what is the difference?

        • -3

Well to begin with they diff housing, the round one (this deal post) looks muuuuuuch better.
In terms of specs I'm not going to into each one just to list them all out and look for differences.

    • I was actually looking to buy a Dafang, would be great if rep could make a deal for that one

      • Same here. looing or Dafang which seems like does the same thing (functional wise) but cheaper.
It has been awhile since any good/bargain smart IP camera posted in ozbargain.

Xiaomi sneakers are damn comfortable by the way

    • Is it good for brisk walking?

      • yea. havent run in them too seriously but theyd be fine for jogging. i like them even more than my nike free run

        • Thanks. It says restocking for my size. What does that mean? It still allows me to add to the cart. Does that mean I can buy now and they will send when they have the stock? Op, please advise.

          • @vjoz: maybe it will let you put it on a 'wish list' and theyll email you when its available

  • Has anyone used the camera? Also what kind of power adapter does this come with? Will it fit Australian plug or do we need a converter?

    • if it is like other xiaomi cameras, it will be micro usb, and come with a cable and chinese power supply

  • anyone know if xiaomi will release outdoor cameras?

yi outdoor cameras is on a different ecosystem.

    • So no outdoor camera that you connect to the Mi Home app?

  • I havent use GearVita, is this a local australian merchant or internatinal?
Are we going to get charge with internatinal transaction/conversion when using aus credit card for payments ?
Else, use citibank or banks that do not charge international transaction fee.

    • International merchant, charge in USD by default.

  • Bought One.
Screwed up the order (inserted wrong code).
OP fixed the order and sent through a refund for the difference after the goods were received.
Camera arrived on time, Ordered 15 May Arrived 30 May.
GearVita Very Very Good 100% and thanks to the OP
