Seems like a pretty good deal especially now that it's $1 cheaper.
Woolworths is currently selling something similar for $7.

I love the choc chip one, but both are usually in stock at my local Aldi (Underwood, QLD).
This is way too sweet. It's like eating fairy bread
Do you know what brioche is?
The choc chip ones are too sweet.
I mean it's exceptionally sweet, even for brioche.
It’s the European-national owners’ personal decision. Management have pushed back, with all the brioche products, based on local tastes. Shut down.

@Ulysses31: Neg voter has no clue.
35 minutes of cycling, or 23 minutes of running or 1.4 hours of cleaning activity required to burn off two slices of these.
So if I power through 4 loaves I too can have the body of Thor?
No, while you might get some cardio vascular benefit, your musculature would remain pretty much the same as there's as little as 5g of protein per two slices.
^ This person has not yet see Avengers:Endgame
@DianaOfAmazonia: No, I havent, and I dont intend to either, I'd rather preserve my memory of Thor from Ragnarok, than sully it with a Thor that has fallen victim to Ozbargain junk food posts.
Maybe chuck in some kegs of beer for good measure.
Dude! Spoilers!
You can have this as a snack while playing Fortnite.
The idea that the consumer can simply exercise to burn the carbs they eat is ludicrous.
That's because it was conceived by marketers as a justification for eating crap like this. The problem with this notion is that exercise is an unpleasant activity as the brain uses every trick it can to preserve calories like it's had to for most of human existence and most people don't do it and don't stick to it.
Not too mention how bad it feels working out after causing muscle inflammation across the entire body by eating sugar and refined flour.
Working out feels great, but I agree with everything else.
Second this too. No issues working out (enjoy the “pain”), Alas it’s far too easy to over-consume VS over-exercise.
You sound like someone that doesn't vaccinate their kids.
When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine.
Maybe go read some medical facts, before posting about things you don't know.
Law of thermodynamics doesn't apply to you?
2 hours of sleeping
This is my favourite cake.
Always sell out in my Aldi. Really soft and more sweet than usual ones. Good find Op
Isn't this baked in France!!
Why cant we make them here…
A huge environmental footprint through supply chain…
:(
same reason we import people ( immigrants) …. we can’t even breed, easier to import, same with brioche.
Hmm…
I say..
Why not invite some french bakers then?
No need to send finished products such as bread from france…it's best when fresh anyway. Unlike canned or other packed goods…
:)

Harder to market it.
I think if price is right, more ppl would buy this. Mostly only the choc chip ones left in Aldi and I see this in woolies( but double the price..)
Hard to resist a real fancy loaf..
:)
has anybody tried to make toastier with brioche ?
challenge being is the slice big enough, and does it taste nice and brown properly for a toasties?
probabaly doesn’t need to be buttered.
Can confirm this bread toasts up nicely
Yes, I toasted the choc chip one lightly and it was very nice.
Wife loves these, they are often sold out at our local by the end of the day when we normally do our shopping.
Nutritional value per 100grams of product for the choc chip brioche which most likely has more sugar than the one without them:
Energy: 347 Cal
Protein: 7.7 gr
Fat: 11.7 of which saturated 5.7gr
Cartbs: 51.7 gr of which sugars: 19.9gr
Sodium 330mg
now let's conpare these values to normal bread, Tip Top white sandwich
Energy: 227 Cal
Protein : 8.1 gr
Carbs 39.8 gr of which sugars 3 gr
Sodium: 400mg
I wouldn't say that the Brioche is too sweet, especially not the one without the choc chips.
Either people commenting above have never tried Aldi's brioche and are just talk(blah blah) or suffer from diabetes.
If you don't like sweet products, stick with pretzels
How does it compare to those French ones Coles sells?
sucks when the store i go to seldom has it in stock. they always seem to have the choc chip ones which i hate
