  • Good price for Super Dragon Ball Heroes on switch, considering the Australian copies seem to be getting sold for at least $100…

  • Posted here but here's a decent deal:

Harry Potters Illuminating Wand by The Noble Collection - $50.22 shipped (or find something worth $2 or so) using code 10MA

  • Listed prices on website are in US Dollars I presume as it's .com not .au website??

Do they charge GST on top of prices as well?

    • +2

Pretty sure it's in Aus dollars hence OZ however they are a UK based business.

      • That's what was confusing me. They have Oz in title, .com website yet say they ship from UK?

        • +3

Yes, they cater for/specialise in the Oz market so the prices are AUD, but they're based in the UK and ship from there. I think that they even setup a company in Australia for handling the transactions so that when you get charged by your credit card you don't get a foreign transaction fee (which some banks do for foreign companies even if the transaction's supposedly in Aus dollars)

          • @akaB: Yep, AU$ and no extra 10% GST added. Their everyday prices very from "you may as well go to Big W or JB" to very reasonable. Usually their games are UK-Euro but occasionally you get AU copies.

They're much less competitive than they used to be (but then out $ was on parity or worth more than the US$ at the time), but maybe if Brexit tanks the UKP their prices will be comparatively better again.

They also have NZGameshop.com, doing the exact same thing for the Kiwi market. Their "home" store is 365games.co.uk which often used to work out cheaper than OGS, but they decided to add extra shipping fees on that one after one particular sale a few years ago when OZBargainers went there instead of the AU storefront.

      • Price will fall quickly for these games. Play 6 first ;)

        • I've played through zero and at end of yakuza Kiwami.
I should probably take a break anyway, play sekiro.
Hoping 3,4 & 5 come out before I get the urge to play 6.
          Have to get ps3 otherwise

    • Sounds about right that's why I said not that good.

this place used to be incredible for board games, but no more I'm afraid sigh

    you guys weren't lying
even items on the clearance section are more expensive that other places not on sale!

    eg
    https://www.ozgameshop.com/strategy-board-games/pandemic-10t… $131 on clearance!

I suppose, with high rents, it would be rather difficult for brick and mortar stores to be competitive with online stores

    • For boardgames and larger items, they bake the shipping cost into the price, then offer "free" shipping. An old trick…

  • Very good sale. For plenty of actually good games (Ys VIII Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Etrian Odyssey to name a few) Ozgameshop is the cheapest around, even before you apply the 10% discount, 1.4%~3.5% cashrewards, 2.5% "player points," and the free shipping.
