Go it last round. It was very good.

Me too, and am enjoying the beans with my Rok espresso manual press. Results in a nice pull, good crema and oils. Think I'll try get another before my Amazon prime ends.

  • was good last round. i got 1kg of the Aroma. but i paid $22.50, not $30 :|

    • The variety pack was $25 last time.

Aroma was awesome. I'll buy that again!

Purchased last time (variety pack) and thought it average at best. Ok for the price.

I'm going through the variety pack now

Aroma - great taste, balanced acidity, bit on the strong side. Lots of crema. I like it

Mocha - smooth, goes great with milk.

Viva - Beans smell and taste burnt (seems I may have got a bad batch). No matter how I extract this I can't get a good tasting shot.

Flair - haven't tried this yet.

      • I'm sorry to say but this was the first time I've ever disposed of beans…

Everyone has different tastes - and good to read above that there are some happy customers - but I was super disappointed. Flavour lacked complexity and I could not extract an enjoyable shot. Others have commented similarly in other Bada Bean posts.

Other than adding a smidge of white in the odd macchiato, I drink my coffee black in its many glorious sizes and forms. Perhaps these beans are better suited to milky coffee.

Disclaimer: haven't opened the Mocha yet.

      • Viva - didn't finish this either. Aroma and Flair the picks for me.

I purchased the decaf from their site, and it's the nicest decaf blend i've yet tried. Highly recommended.

  • +3

Purchased from them during the last promotion.
Out of 4 of them, I would only recommend the aroma and the flair, the rest are just average coffees and would not make the mark for premium coffees. I would'nt be bothered to buy them again and this is coming from a person drinking vittoria coffee from the supermarkets. (Again this is just a personal opinion and not advice to anyone).
    Enjoy responsibly

Coming from P&R beans, Bada beans was quite disappointing

    • +2

Agree. Loads of crema off the Aroma blend, but didn't like that they don't include roast date on the packaging, and the flavour was only average. P&R Porter Street blend is much better IMO.

    • My bag of bean from bada was really soggy compare to PR…..

I enjoyed the variety pack from the last deal (admittedly the aroma and the Flair were stand outs, haven't tried Mocha and just had a first cup of Viva today).

    • Turns out the Viva is mediocre at best, better to wait for a deal on the Aroma/Flair - revoking my +1.

  • Any deals on decaf?

    • -2

      Yeah, it's called herbal tea.

    • Says on Amazon listing

"Alternate blends available on request. Leave a comment in the notes when ordering."

Am also interested if decaf is an option as i agree that P&R beans were much better than the variety pack.

  • anyone using a breville 820 grinder for Aroma ? What are your grinder settings, grind time and grind size ?

    • I used grind size 20, grind time 10s (for aeropress, two shots)

  • I used grind size 18 with my breville dual boiler and it was very watery.
