  • Great batteries… though USB chargers tend to take a long time to charge NiMH batteries.
50% off so pretty good deal.

  • postage kills the deal IMO. was $6 for me; might be better for others. if postage was a tad cheaper i would have jumped at it. im gonna hold out for the wall charger eneloop bundles to be on special i think…

        • Damn! Both my local stores have heaps.

  • +1

just bought it, but it says do not connect to other equipments to other USB ports while charging…what's the point of this then?

  • Nice one OP. just grabbed one around the corner at my local DSE. Might want to put that it ends tomorrow though.
Very handy for holidays traveling etc.

  • Seems they are only 2000mAh capacity assuming that they are the same as the link below.
I just couldnt see any markings on the packet in the photo

The eneloops are definitely 2000mAh. But, they have a very low internal discharge, so they'll retain most of their charge even after a year. Other rechargables will lose half their charge within a month or two, and lose much more capacity after 3 or 4 recharges. I'd certainly prefer using the eneloops, over regular 2400-2800mAh AA batteries. Plus, the eneloops are advertised as capable of being recharged 1000 times (1500 times for the newer version). That's an extremely high rechargeable count.

  • can i plug this into a usb wall charger?

    • I would say almost certainly yes, but if not, take it back to DSE ; )

    • Yes you can.
If you have the USB wall charger with 5V === 1A or > 500mA, this will do.
With smaller than 500mA, it will damage the adapter.

  • staples has a durcell one

    BARGAIN

    • Those guys don't deliver to WA though right?

    • Are these LSD?

  • Really do need these for my garmin oregon. It just chews up batteries. :)

  • These batteries awesome, I bought some during xmas and they last ages per charge. On a plus note, I later bought a 4x AA + charger pack (also eneloop) for $19 from Retravision Springwood. Excellent bargain.

    Additional information:
1 charge cycle allowed me to roughly finish Metroid: Other M on the Wii
1 charge cycle allowed me to finish Lara Croft Guardian of light on the XBOX (plus occasional watching naughty divx's) and its still not flat.
