2000 QFF points plus $128.87 seems a better deal (~$149 if you value the points at $0.01 each), given this set seems to be selling for ~$230 at most places online.

    • Exactly, thanks for that

  • are they dishwasher safe?

  • How do I get this if I don't have enough points? Can I transfer with my Amex points for it? Also, are these induction compatible?

    • Only Ascent Premium accounts (eg. Platinum charge card) with Amex can transfer points directly to QFF.

    • Yes, they are induction compatible

  • Tefal products are really poor quality. Those coatings will go into your food and not good enough for steaks.

    • I think their non stick coating lasts longer than most other non stick coatings. They all wear off eventually.

      • wear off = get digested in your system

          Exaggerated claims.

Does it get mixed up in foods? Yes it does eventually.
Enough to count as poisoning or make you sick? No. Drinking soft drinks and having junk food would do you more harm that the non stick coating

@0FoxGiven: Sure a little polytetrafluoroethylene could help make you stronger. Take a little of it each day, give the dog and kids so they don't feel left out.

            Real chefs use cast iron

            • @raiseyoursteaks: I probably do have it every day, so does kids and the dog once in a while. Thanks for the suggestion anyways. I hope you are living in a bubble and not breathing in pollutants and ingesting any harmful chemicals by way of pesticides on veggies etc everyday.

And I’m not a real chef sadly.

I agree with raiseyoursteaks - we bought an expensive Tefal non stick frypan. It was replaced under warranty because the base warped. The replacement's coating is coming off after 6 months use. Complete rubbish.

If you're still keen $139 at Harris Scarfe if it's the same one

    • I had a Tefal too, loved the non-stick initially. Infact I used to swear by it. Soon it started to wear, you will notice them in your scrambled eggs, I've only used wooden utensils.

Besides their base isn't thick enough to heat well. Any cast iron products will beat those non-stick hands down. Whether Crofton, Lodge or Staub, and I have them all.

    • This is not the same set, it is the cheaper version. The sets have different model numbers c556s554 at Harris Scarfe and A860S544 at Qantas. The only difference is the handles but is a big difference, the HS ones are clunky.
