  • I think catch had a smaller set 40% off

    Edit: $101 3 piece

    • This one has lower tier coating btw.
Best coating Tefal has is unlimited and then ultimate and then this basic one.

Why do people keep buying sets? I see no reason to have a non stick saucepan, get a stainless saucepan and it will last for life. Then get 1 or 2 nonstick frypan that you replace whenever the coating wears out.

I'm buying a set because that's all I need, and I don't have any at the moment. Buying them separately would be much more expensive. I'll consider buying individual pieces when one of them in the set wears out.

$299 is quite a lot to spend, you can go to ikea and grab a few pots and pans, the 365 line is quite good.
I see no point in spending more on nonstick that you will have to replace (not if but when, all of them will wear off). If you spend more on stainless that is fine but just grab budget nonsticks, ikea 365 nonstick is my go to or any under $30 with a thick base.

        • unfortunately, I got your advice toooo late. I'm still so fresh about this. I have just returned Amazon order and bought this stuff :)

          Thank you!
I will keep it in mind for my next spending.

  • From the choice magazine I downloaded Tefal Ultimate was rated 88%, which was tied first place with Circulon Steel Shield S Series and Kmart Anko for best fry pan

Personally I wouldn't touch Tefal again. Bought an ultimate frypan that cost $100ish, started to stick around a few months of use. Tefal declined my warranty claim as they think the pan is "overheated".

    • Same here… Stuff will burn and stick to it if you overheat it… Better off using a stainless steel pan. Learn how to use it without making it stick.

  • I bought the set with the stainless steel pots and they have been excellent. Just dont be a clutz like me and drop the handle.

  • Learn to use a traditional frypan. Then persist and keep persisting and the pan will last you a lifetime. Soak it rather than scrub. Let it build up its own non stick coating. That pearl of wisdom only took me 30 years to learn.
