Its what happens every year ! and alot of them still buy it lol
That would be $2200ish, though you may have found some for $2000 on clearance. Remember that this is the C9, not the B9.
There's a lot of fabrication costs involved, and those smooth out over the first 6 months.
The 55" C8 was available for less than $1900
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/415168If you can wait till November/December the C9 will get there!
Or buy now on 28degrees card and claim $1k later :)
That eBay with their postage locations is a big stretch though.
You're splitting hairs over $25 or so. Some quick google-fu shows last year's model had an MSRP of $4199, launched at $3200-$3400, while this year's model has an MSRP of $3899, and is obviously launching at around $3000.
There's always an early adopter tax with this kind of tech, just don't absorb it.
Nah staff price on LG tv's are 50% off rep and there's still mark up on that
price is right…only if it was the 65" one
If you prefer HN and for 50 cents extra https://www.harveynorman.com.au/lg-55-inch-c9-4k-uhd-oled-ai…
Harvey Norman on live chat I got down to $2,850 excluding shipping. Close but I declined.
The pricing should be much more competitive for the 65" model in this year's line-up, which is something to keep in mind for those purchasing over the next year so.
This is probably a good buy-in point if you've been holding off for a solid technology, though I'd be asking questions about whether or not LG intended to restore the 120Hz black frame insertion mode they've disabled just prior to launch (I think the setting is called LG Motion Pro, and works fine for 60Hz usage), which is probably the only weak spot on this model at present.
This is the one I'm waiting for. I was set on the Panasonic fz950 but happy to wait and pay a little more for this.
I hope there's a chance I can get it around 2k during eofy sales.
From memory it has HDMI 2.1, improved black frame insertion, auto low latency mode, variable refresh rate, and importantly to me down to 13~ ms input lag.
LG are living in fantasy land if they think they can charge almost double the outgoing 2018 model pricing.
