  • Whats the weight limit on these trampolines?

    • Hi Mike,

There are two weights you need to be aware of - the Structural Load Capacity and the Maximum User Weight. The first relates to strength and the second relates to safety.

The Structural Load Capacity is the amount of static weight a trampoline can hold. A Springfree is strong enough to hold more than this weight, but this limit allows for a safe margin before the mat will touch the ground. The trampolines available with this offer have a structural load capacity of 500kg.

The Maximum User Weight is based on how heavy you are and how high you jump. It is about ensuring jumpers don’t ‘bottom out’ (touch the ground while jumping). The Australian Safety Standards allows for a minimum 15% safety margin to ensure that even when you jump about as high as 1m off the mat, and you weigh the maximum user weight, you won’t touch the ground. The trampolines available with this offer have a maximum user weight of 100kg.

      • Righto. And how much do you charge to repair after 10 yr warranty period?

      • Why would anyone care about the structural load capacity of a trampoline?

  • Installation and delivery $350. Explains a lot

  • I am not implying that Aldi quality matches this post but I got a 14 foot trampoline for $179 6 months ago (even saw them on clearance at $99. Had adverse weather here.. Product same as Day 1. Kids are thrilled. No springs are in any way accessible. You simply can't get to them from inside the trampoline and outside they are fully covered. If I could buy 10 or more of them for the price of this - well I'd go mine.

I DO understand this might be a Hyundai Vs Lamborghini BUT this product CANNOT stop weather which will ultimately be what ends both this product and mine. Real test is how happy kids are - I suspect they'd be no happier with what I assume is higher end. They'd also be 1.5k wealthier.

    • Hi,

Great to hear you have had a great experience with your trampoline. Unfortunately, not all trampoline buyers are as lucky.
Springfree Trampoline offers a full 10 year warranty on the entire trampoline, and is the only trampoline on the Australian market to do so. To compare trampoline warranties visit: https://www.springfreetrampoline.com.au/warranty-information

You're right - weather usually wears out trampolines more often than the users, however, when things break or wear out, you just fix them.
You'll be able to get replacement parts from a dedicated trampoline company for many years.
I doubt you'll have any luck trying to get parts from aldi in 2 or 3 years time.

I can vouch that Springfree are absolutely brilliant trampolines. The prices are high, but they are durable (ours is 10 years old), safe, and have a great 'bounce'. Other adults who've had a try on ours have commented how good the bounce is.

It took about 3 hours to assemble, and delivery wasn't cheap, so there is some value in this offer.

  • Can't comment about Springfree quality, however their major competitor 'Vuly' are terrible. Please don't buy from them unless you want a product that doesn't last longer than a BigW trampoline, and a warranty service that's deceptive and breaches the ACL (they try to get you to pay for everything, irrespective of length of time owning the trampoline (i.e. 12 weeks) and your consumer rights under the ACL). But lots of flash marketing and offer of 1/2 price parts (wouldn't need 1/2 price if the product was commensurable with the price) are enticing. My tip - go with the Aldi one above and replace every few years, cheaper than doing the same for a Vuly every few years.

    • My experience with Vuly says otherwise.
Trampolines should not be treated as 'disposable' items. Buy quality to start with, take care of it, and fix when things break.

      • Wish mine wasn't so bad on multiple occasions, but it was. I've got the thunder medium, which model did you go with?

        • I avoided the Thunder models and went with the more traditional Lift. First "free" shade cover had poor stitching, and they sent me another one. Both have tears now, but probably still usable for one more summer each.
I actually bought the new shade cover made from traditional shade-cloth material, and it's ridiculously better.

    • Two years into a Vuly springless one here and it's still in A1 condition. Can't comment on their warranty service though as we haven't needed it yet.

      • Alas not for me. Which model did you go with? Ta
