  • Hardcore breadtop fans :|

  • I don't see how this is a bargain… The case has a big breadtop logo on it, and I prefer my $2 case from other website for quality. It should be free as part of their marketing campaign.

$1 for an iPhone case. Regardless of if you like the design or not, it's still pretty good.

      • It will be good if it's free… win-win… breadtop gets the walking phoning ad who gets free iphone case :)

    • -1

AGREE!! It is not a bargain at all. They should pay me $1 if they wish me to use that case.

  • -2

    Not a bargain.

  • +7

    Is it edible?

  • Is there even a breadtop in NSW? I will rush off to the nearest one if there is :)

    • +1

      chinatown has one i think
      hurstville
      and maybe chatswood

      • +1

Sydney CBD (World Square, down the escalators), Carlingford Court (near the south-facing carpark entrance), Liverpool and Cabramatta. Possibly more.

    • Several in NSW, wherever you find large concentrations of asians. CBD has at least two (Broadway and World Square).

    • Eastwood too

      Wow; worst website ever!

      • new one at Top Ryde shopping centre
  • LOL, I saw it hanging at their counters while walking past and thought it was probably free with every purchase.

  • +1

What madness would possess anyone to actually part with their hard earned to get this? I am staggered anyone would use this, let alone pay for it.

    • +1

      my thoughts exactly

  • +1

    pretty silly
should be free since its free advertising

    doubt anyone would buy it….

  • +2

regardless of advertising it's still a bargain for a case.
even the $2 case someone above mentioned, this is 50% less*. There have been lesser discounts posted that were considered bargains on here as well.

*assuming you were going there for lunch anyway. And even then you're still getting a bun for the extra $$ :p

  • +12

haters gonna hate when i rock this $1 case on my expensive $600+ iphone

  • +5

A true ozbargainer would buy the cheapest case possible

    • not if they're freebies!!

      • +2

when was there a free iphone 4 case given?

        • +1

When you bought an iphone 4 before October 2010, and I got an original Speck… :)

        • oh that, i got the pixelskin one, kinda got bored of it after 3 months

  • -2

    ITT pretentious ozbargain trolls

  • +1

I don't have an iPhone, but a buck for a case is good, and Breadtop=yum! :)

  • +6

Bargain for a phone case. The breadtop logo will probably improve the street-cred of many iphone users, too.

  • -1

They indirectly asked you to advertise their brand and you have to pay for it?! They should pay you, not the other way around!! or at least give it for free!

    • +9

it's the same as buying branded iPhone case… your logic is flawed

      • -2

no its not. Iphone cases usually dont come with visible branding. These should be given away as free promotion.

        • +6

I think most iPhone cases also cover Apple's apple logo.
Surprisingly this Breadtop case does not appear to. There's actually a hole for the Apple logo to remain visible. Wow.

        • +12

the same logic can be applied to clothing (especially g-star raw) , shoes, cars and etc. you are basically paying them to advertise for them. they should be given away as free promotion too.

      • +1

No need to insult if you don't agree. It is a promotion tool and part of their marketing campaign. I won't buy either honestly.

    • exactly - hence…"not a bargain!"

      • Agreed.

        • -1

          Agreed again? Shock horror!!

    • +4

Apple should also pay you to have that Apple logo on your iPhone!
As should your computer monitor.. what a disgusting BenQ/Samsung logo that is
And your washing machine, Fisher & Paykel? Yuck.. and you're paying them several hundred more dollars to advertise for them!

      • +1

Same with all the branded clothing with their brand name on them!

      • +2

Well if breadtop put their logo on their breads… No one will complain… :) I like the Fred Perry logo on the shirts… It's fair because it's their products.

  • +3

man, I will see alot of people queuing up during the end of financial year sale for those iphone covers just like people queue for Gucci, LV, Chanel

  • the breads inside breadtop arent cheap at all, and an extra dollar for the case?i pass.

  • Not a bargain.

  • UMMM THESE ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • +1

u kidding me? how is this a bargain?

  • +1

    LOL, it's unbelievably ugly!

  • it has been like that for weeks already…

  • +3

Can anyone explain how a marketing gimmick can't be a bargain? And really what's wring with the bread top logo? Plenty of customers carry their bags around like it's a status symbol anyway.

  • -1

I'd buy it as a spare

    • Same here if I was buying something from there.

  • +3

Hmm lots of people I've seen out and about where tshirts, jeans, shirts, jackets, carry bags etc that have the company name on them.

Some even pay thousands of dollars for them (eg Louis Vutton)

But yeah, if it's big and all, it's not everyone's cup of tea shrug

Now if they had a good 15.6" notebook neoprene case with handle etc … I'd be interested in that :) ('cos no one stocks it over here)

    • +2

But the expensive designer brands one kind of defines class and is more stylish. I guess a Breadtop case/tshirt means youre a bread-fan?

      • +2

kind of defines class and is more stylish

More like kind of defines fashion victim! Class is something you've either got or you haven't, you can't buy that at your haberdasher! :p

      • +2

It reminds me of some jackets I was looking at. They were nicely cut, a good material and black.

So the brander splashed the company name in big white letters across it with the company logo :(

There goes the slightly refined look I was thinking of. I didn't buy it :S

(I guess if I really wanted, I could've tried unstitching the branding …)

… another thing is, not everyone knows what Breadtop is. Some may know, others may think it's kitsch … then some might think it's the next type of computer.

You know, desktop, laptop, palmtop … breadtop … :D

  • +1

It might deter people wanting to steal a phone if it looked like that ;-)

  • PROMO is not just VIC, friend just told me they have them at Parra Westfields

just incase anyone in NSW wanted to rock this case…=]
