Dinner for One $6.95 @ KFC

1743

For $6.95, you get:
3 pcs. Original Recipe Chicken
1 Reg Potato & Gravy
1 Reg Coleslaw
1 Dinner Roll

It's not listed anywhere, just order it over the counter.

Maximise it with KFC Feedback to get a drink and another side to make it a complete meal; swapped the chips for shaker salad.

My local store has Hot and Spicy all year round.

Value meal savings = $18

Edit: reported working in NSW, VIC and TAS. The staff are not trained to put in this order since it's a secret menu. Try showing the receipt and ask to punch in DIN41.

Not sure the staff was passive aggressive by giving me 2 sets of disposable cutlery.

      • +8

Ask for a discount if you return one set!

      • +4

        Not aggressive at all.
They are just teasing you about how stingy you are by having a dinner for one between 2 people.

    • +5

Yes, the opposite of a happy meal.

But who can be bothered cooking for one? If the family is away, junk food is OK.

  • +1

i swear the last three times I have been to kfc the burger and chips have been utter crap

    • I only get KFC occasionally, but I've found it to be improved lately.

    • -7

What would you expect from KrapFC?

    • Depends on the staff working. If it's prepared correctly and fresh, it's pretty good (for fast food). But if you get the lazy ***** doing the late shift, well then that's a different story.

      • yeah, the chicken on the burger has been tough and almost looks grey, and the chips are always over cooked and just ordinary.

  • Anyway of ordering this on the app? Couldn’t find it

    • +10

Nah, its not on the app. A real secret menu item.

No idea, haven't tried it. Go try and let us know.

Need a shopadocket, didn't honour for me.

    • -2

      arent shopadockets available online?

      • +2

Anyone been able to find this? I searched the shopadocket site with no avail.

      • Link?

    • +2

      Didn't honour also.

  • +2

If you ate less KFC, you might need to stump for dinner for 2. True Ozbargain champ right here.

    • +1

Keep eating KFC, and you'll need the "dinner for 2".

      https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3197283/When-obesit…

      • The so called obesity epidemic, which the commercial news never covers properly because it's one of the largest spenders on advertising, was created using marketing, on purpose, because of greed.

The food sector is terrified of going down the path of big tobacco because it's killed millions of people since the 1950's as it used marketing to shift society from eating mainly whole foods in three set time periods to eating cheap processed carbohydrate poison all the time.

According to the UN food now kills more people than tobacco smoking.

Quite pathetic really, 1 in 5 people have developed the same liver condition as Geese that are force fed enormous amounts of food by inserting a funnel down their throats to produce foie gras.

Remove this. You clearly need a coupon. And savings of $18 is a lie.

    • +1

I don't know about that. The docket scan supplied does seem to stack up, states $18 saving, and lists DIN41 which is probably just a till button. Or do you know something else?

    • I've ordered it twice. It works lmao

  • +1

For the love of god. Why did you remove the sauce from the shaker salad? The entire point is you get it with the dressing and shake it to mix it in….

    • +1

That's like removing the supercharged sauce from a Zinger Stacker!

    • +1

The coleslaw has enough dressing for me to go together with the shaker salad.

      • Interesting idea. So you just scoop the whole coleslaw regular size into the shaker cup?

        • +1

Scoop half of the coleslaw into shaker salad, eat salad half way; pour remaining coleslaw into salad.

  • that's annoying i was thinking kfc for dinner or lunch today, went the 2 piece feed for lunch for $10

    Works! Nom nom nom nom

    • +13

You forgot to om before you nom nom. Golden rule.

      • Is forbidden for me to 🕉️om😅

  • Does it work nationwide? I think not every state has the same menu or pricing..

  • Damn. Wish I knew this on Thirsday when I finished late and nothing was open at 9:30pm except maccas and KFC

    • +2

Pretty sure everyone knows how unhealthy this stuff is (and buys it anyway) yet we see health experts on every fast food deal giving us a reminder, why?

      • +2

Since when did anyone ever buy KFC for its health benefits?

      • Fun

        • I heard fast food decreases the level of tolerance from others towards you. In your case, stay far, far away from KFC.

    • -1

      It also reduces IQ, https://www.spring.org.uk/2018/06/diet-that-lowers-intellige…

"Adolescents who eat a lot of fast food do 20% worse in standard tests of reading, math and science as compared to those who ate none, research finds."

      • +25

        Correlation does not imply causation.

Rather than fast food causing lower IQ, perhaps those with higher IQ simply choose not to eat fast food.

        • +11

Or maybe children living in homes where a lot of takeaway is consumed aren't given the same opportunities to succeed at school.

      • What a load of bollocks, this was my staple in uni and I passed with flying colours (ok just passed, but a pass is still a pass)

      • What a joke of an article that is. The study doesn't say anything like what you or that article are claiming.

These results provide initial evidence that high levels of fast food consumption are predictive of slower growth in academic skills in a nationally representative sample of children.

    title said "Coupon Required"
where can we get Coupon please?

    • I didn't need coupon, YMMV

  • In order to get the KFC feedback drink and chips, you have to have been there within 2 days and I don’t go there that often. Tell me if otherwise, that’s the point of this comment.

    • +3

While doing the feedback on the website, where it says to enter the date of your last meal you can put anything. There's no way for their system to verify the date you actually went so too easy.

      • Yeah but then it’s lying, it becomes a matter of ethics whether you take advantage of it or not.
I’ve seen it a few times on this site where bargains > ethics, I guess it’s inherent to the site as this isn’t a site about ethics.

    • +1

They don't really care as long as you've written some numbers on the dockets. All of the times I abuse this promotion, only once I've been asked the actual code on my mobile phone.

    • I haven't used the feedback deal in a while, but I thought you had 2-3 days to do the survey, but much longer to redeem the chips and drink. Like 14-30 days?

      • Thanks, this is what I’ll be doing henceforth.

  • Ok. I want this dinner for one for $6.95. perfect bachelor meal.

If I can't order this over the app, what dod you say over the counter??

  • So do you just ask for the "dinner for one" or do you have to ask for each of the individual pieces?

    • +1

I think you should go in there and ask for each individual piece.

      • Lol. Don't forget to order the box, serviet, cutlery and bag.

      • Make sure you order in this format
        1 original recipe
        1 original recipe
        1 original recipe
        .
        .
        .
Ask for each individual PIECE as bennybaubles said ;)

      • Did you try that?

  • -6

Yo, that's a pretty shit deal and not very filling at that.

You want dinner for one, use the chips and drink deal and get a Stacker. About the only thing on the menu that's even half filling.

  • +20

Why 100+ likes for a deal appears to be not acceptable at many stores? Only one person other than the OP has managed to use it. Didn't work for me in a ACT store last night. Perhaps it's the time to get it off the front page.

    • -3

Well I would assume it’s in the system to order it. If u get lucky enough u could get it. I would suggest saying like could I please order the dinner for one that costs $6.95 with the 3 chicken pieces, ect… then once they give u it, order the free drink and chips via feedback. If they say it’s not on the menu, lightly contest it and see how U go..
I will try it later and see how I go and report back. Even if it worked for one store, it’s still a bargain and op is doing us a solid.

    • Just worked for me at Springvale in Vic. This meal deal is a lot better than the deep fried mouse and tender from the last ozbargsin deal
      Btw I didn’t have a coupon.

  • Thanks OP! Dinner sorted haha

  • Hang on, hot and spicy all year round? What stores do this?

    • +5

      Queensland stores do

    • +2

      WA

      • +2

I'm from WA and was surprised to see it isn't part of the standard menu elsewhere.

        • One of the reasons I wouldn't move over East to be honest.

  • Only the manager knew about it but confirmed working at St Peters KFC Sydney (Princes Highway)

    • Also yes works at lunch time

  • +1

It works without code. Just show the receipt in the photo and mention Dinner for One. Didn’t require the manager. Worked during lunch, and with the feedback free chips and drink.

  • +1

    Didn't work @ Woden ACT

I'll check my till on Monday.
Have a feeling if might only be the Yum branded stores not Collins stores. I'll confirm on Monday.

    • That's my local out…

    • how do you tell which stores are what branded?

      • Honestly not 100% sure.

      • My credit card gets charged under 'Collins'

    • Thanks for doing this mate
