  • Imagine your life being so meaningless that you'll drive over 80km round trip, wasting at least 1.5 hours of your time, spending $10 on fuel, and risk getting nothing for a measly $50 gift card. LOL

    • I actually wanted, with the previous deal, to go but no one in Perth on here wanted to go with me……. I sad. Could have scored some free vouchers together…oh well….

      • why do you need someone, a complete stranger no less, to go with you?

        • Efficiency….no need for us to go individually when we can just have someone drive a car down together in one go….

          • @Zachary: there's always Uber

            • @tdw: Don't they charge like an arm and a leg like taxis do, except instead of getting an indian driving the car, you could get an asian or an english person driving it……?

Cheaper to just drive there yourself and tag a few randoms, well not quite randoms since they'd be in the same group as you, which is from this forum….

              • @Zachary:

Cheaper to just drive there yourself

so why don't you just do that then?
post in the forums offering a ride in your car and sort out how your occupants would chip in for fuel, where to pick them up, what times etc.

even if i've met anyone on ozbargain, i certainly wouldn't get in a car with them. hell, i don't even car pool with my co-workers.

so why don't you just do that then?

                  Mine's busted….

Hm, interesting how you have a different opinion, could you explain your reasoning behind this?

                  • @Zachary: takes time to figure out if someone is trustworthy or not.

                    • @tdw: ..but you're okay with uber, taxi drivers and maybe public transport?

Yeah I guess that's a good reason to be cautious, there was girl who called an uber to get home, she ended up dead in the bush…. I guess you should always bring a knife with you or some small arm in case you get nasty driver…..

Great if you live near Mandurah, but have an old address on your driver's licence. The only downside is that you live near Mandurah.

      • Or if you live 40 to 50km away, and can visit a couple friends on a Sunday.

I will camp outside Mandurah Forum this Saturday night.

    Too good to miss ;-)

    • Watch out for the dreaded SW beardicoots, they roam vacant carparks scrumaging for food.

got $350 from the last deal. still made a profit after fuel

    • Wow! How many times did you go to Mandurah?

      • Must have gone 7 times, but I wouldn't call it last time. There was them two giveaways in the middle.

Do they run out easily ? IE do you have to line up 2 hours in advance

  • I wonder if there is anything “wrong” with Mandurah forum to run such promos …??

    • It's in Mandurah.

    • DFO run a similar giveaway but with a code word off the radio (first in best dressed).

    • I think it's had a couple years renovation, so maybe they're trying to maintain trade during a messy upgrade.
