Free entry Schick Shave lab Competition - $100 Industrie, $50 sunglasses Hut $20 itunes

74

These are the prizes you can win

$100 Industrie, $50 sunglasses Hut $20 itunes vouchers

I know this is not really a freebie per se, but its free to enter - no purchase necessary and you can enter each week, so while its marginal it might be of iterest to some here. Anyway I guess the votes will tell if its what people here like. If it is not appropriate I apologise in advance

It's to celebrate the into of the new schick razors and their new schick protect shave gels.

Personally I like gels and have been using them for more than 15 years, Friends would buy them for me overseas before they came here.

good luck…

  • Sorry Pete, I don't think a "chance" to win something is a freebie or a bargain.

  • don't be sorry - it's a fair comment

  • I'm interested to know if you get any spam?

    • I wonder if you don't tick the option "Keep me up to date with all the latest Schick news and competitions", what would you get?

As of this deal, I will have to vote against it as well. I am trying to get competitions off the deal site. Maybe we can have a comp forum, but for now it's either sales/promotions, specific products, or freebies.

      • How 'bout just having a competitions category?

        • Hmm. I think allowing competition is like opening another can of worm as there are a lot of dodgy comps out there that get you to win free iPods or Xbox (you know which ones I am talking about). Of course the community can vote against those but I think I still need to think through the possible issues.

There are quite a few other things planned so having a competitions category might not be on high priority.

          • @scotty: Then I or you can pull this as I understand, that it's a fine line between competitions run correctly and those dodgy ones. And its hard to be the judge, so no competitions can be the order of the day and given the way you put it I agree with the stance.

The only alternative is maybe in the forum section as an option, but again how is it policed? Although many of the shonks probably wouldn't even look there. Again I defer to your judgement

as for the others comments - I take no offense - its all valuable opinion

  • Not a freebie, so I too will need to vote against it.

  • hehe.. sorry ozpete.. no deal for me too.. perhaps a good start for OzComp .. not OzBargain :)

    Cheers
    elcheapo.. the cheapskate

    • By the way there are other Australian sites that focus on the competitions, like DIDiWIN.com.au (a Pligg-based sharing site, but not much a community as far as I can see).

I think OzBargain has a GREAT community which makes extending to competitions a good idea. I'll be back to Sydney next week (currently on holidays) and I'll take a look then.
