Much has changed in the 20 years since I last rented a DVD.
Is anyone else annoyed when promotions use the word "free" like this? To me, free means I'm getting something for nothing, which isn't true in most promotions that use the word "free". Surely this is better described as "two for the price of one" rental, or "bonus rental at no extra cost".
I sort of understand why they do it - the word "free" gets a lot more eyeballs to look at the offer. I just think it's a corruption of the word, stretching its definition for marketing purposes.
Is this a $5 code. Tuesday and Thursday is $2 days, meaning the two DVDs are free, or $3 for two DVDs on other days when they are normally $4 each
