I never realised that this was so expensive.
Humans spend a lot on what appear to be vanity management products.

Please tell us what else you have learned from studying the human species.

if you think $91 for a vanity product that lasts 4 months is expensive then do I have news for you

      • I agree that $91 is better than $140, but it is still a vanity product yeah?

        • you probably didnt meant it but you came across as someone who doesnt want to spend money on 'vanity' and thinks its a waste of money. note that spending money on appearance comes in so many shapes and sizes which include but not limited to
          clothes,
          makeup,
hair products (and everthing regarding this can be vanity such as combs, hair gel, hair cuts, hair pins etc).

of course you could be someone who doesnt want any of the above things and that's ok too

          • @alebox: Your last sentence is pretty much spot on, except for clothing of course. Everything else on the list is optional in my view.

  • Perfect for JV

Personal Experience: Bought once and got the cashback. The Foam is horrible compared to the liquid imo. 100x more difficult to get the right amount and also target the right spot especially if you've only got mild hair loss and trying to prevent. You'll get all of it in your hair instead of the roots. Also applying the liquid takes 20s as opposed to fiddling around with foam for a minute or two.

    • I have the opposite experience, find the liquid just drips away.

    • I had the same issues with applying foam, if you still have alot of hair it's hard to actually get it onto the scalp. I melt the foam down in the cap and turn it into liquid. Then apply it exactly like the liquid version. Works well.

I want to avoid the PPG in the liquid versions since it gives me dandruff.

  • Tried this last time it was available. Beware - cashback process can only be done by printing form from their website and snail mailing it to NSW with a very narrow valid period. More effort than its worth, borderline deceptive operation

Just had mine done last month, sign up via website and it did take a while to get the cash back eftpos card. No other issues otherwise. Haven’t seen my hair grow thou, lost more instead. 😅

      • You must be the 1 out of 10 that it doesn't work for

        • Actually positive results are only shown in less than 40% so he is in the majority.

  • Does this stuff actually work?

The link states that 9 out of 10 men kept or re-grew hair in just 16 weeks* (*self assessment after 16 weeks of treatment….sourced from a 2007 publication)
If it doesn't work, consult your health care professional

yes it works. The key is that you need to be prepared to use it indefinitely. Once you stop using it, any new hair will shed away.

  • +1

Does it work on any other body parts, apart from a male scalp? Asking for a friend.

    • Is your friend suffering from hair loss, but not on his scalp?

    • A lot of people in beard forums report using this product with apparent success.

The generic version is $80 for 5 months..

  • I tried this a few years ago, didn't work for me after using for a bit over a year. Complete waste of money. Would be a far better option to save and get surgery for 5-10 thousand.

    • the combination of finasteride &/or minoxidil &/or ketoconazole does work for some/most people.

they're probably worth trying first before a transplant and are pretty cheap if you shop around for the generic versions (you could use all 3 for less than $200/year) .. and i think they recommend using them after a hair transplant anyway
