    • Hi Don, did you bychance pick one up?

Definitely sounds like they want to buy it themselves. I had a similar situation with the Garbutt store not allowing me to purchase their last set. The staff member told me over the phone that they had a set available, but that he would have to check with his manager to see if they could be posted. He didn't call back straight away, so I called back 30 minutes later, and another staff member told me that the last set had just been bought by a staff member! I spoke to the manager and she gave me a too bad attitude, and tried to tell me that Australia Post doesn't allow the postage of knives. The Good Guys aren't doing themselves any favours with this kind of deceptive customer service.

I had a set in Morayfield. I tried to get it sent to me, they refused. So I drove 3 hours to get. Lol
It was a long drive yesterday.

  • Lucky those who got the Global knives.

I only got the Furi set (no Global left in stock when I looked), picked them up yesterday, tried them out today, will return them.

Blunt as. Tried the serrated multi-purpose to cut cherry tomatoes. Blade so blunt, it did not grip the tomato skin at all, slipped sideways against my index finger. Lucky it was so blunt it did not even nick the skin. Tried the small paring knife next, just as blunt.

Not what I would expect with a $550 RRP set. Compared them to an old set of Zwilling Four Star which is similar RRP. A difference like night and day, and I'm not an expert in sharpening.

The Furi - straight from the box - cut about as well as the $20 block set Aldi had a few weeks ago. That's what they are worth. $69 is still a rip-off.

    • Too bad. The global ones are great but I paid more than $97 for them.

    • Furi's RRP is Complete Bullshit, i Managed to pick up a Global set waiting for it to arrive , The fact that i can see a 9 Piece Furi Set being Sold for $150 with a Sharpener tells me its not worth it lol.
