With Sony Australia subsidy ,almost all the retailers will be selling these cans for the same price or even lower before Easter.
Do you have any more details about this subsidy?
My wife wants to buy me a pair of these for my birthday in May but there's no way she's going to monitor OZBargain for a deal….. and I don't really want her to just buy them at retail and spend $150 more than she needs to.
Get a 28 Degrees credit card. Price protection from any retailer for 6 months after purchase.
12 months
Does this apply if you pay for it using the card via PayPal?
@pauper: Yes, I'm sure I've claimed for that.
Yes, what is this subsidy of which you speak?
Chief,
Your on ozbargain no one pays RRP here.
Still did not expect RRP to be $499 when you can get these for on average $330 on sale!
And your point is, Bose QC35 ii RRP is $499.00
https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/products/headphones/over_ear_h…@boomramada: lol
@boomramada: Boom, got 'em
Weren't they originally $699 at RRP?
@Daabido: Na it was the same price as bose here.
I think one is cheaper than the other rrp in america but I don't remember which one.
Would other sony kiosks match this price?
Is it possible to get a matched price in Sydney?
At laaaaaaaaast
My looooove has come along
My lonely days are over…
For real though, just got them and turned them on at the train station.
I think I audibly sighed at how comfy they were and the noise cancelling works perfectly.
Thanks OP no regrets
Want to buy this over boss as this has touch controls and usb c. now i have to search for money in my bank
Hugo?
Also I'm sure you can afford it since you own a bank.
I have tried these out and Bose 35s. The NC on these is amazing!!!! The buttons are absolutely perfect as well. I'd happily buy both if you're wanting to spend that amount but do feel Sony has the edge, especially on NC.
Just FYI, these are $299 with free express delivery through the Sony Store if your company is eligible for their partner program. My work don't even directly use their product but was eligible through another vendor, so worth checking.
Link plz, thanks

I just created an account with my work mail after I read about it on our Intranet.
Hard to believe there are still people who are yet to own either the QC35’s or these Sony’s.
Awhile back I was on a call to Aus Post about a package I failed to find in the front yard.
After formalities and telling her the tracking info etc the lady on the phone instantly asked “did you buy headphones? Which ones did you get the Bose or the Sony?” As if they were the most popular packages with the enquires she had dealt with, and that she was considering getting a pair herself. Will jb match this?
By the way, surely this is the better grab over the qc35's at same price?
Depends I guess. QC35 is more comfy, not that 1000XM3 is not comfy, QC35 is just even more comfy. And QC35 has a better mic from what I read. I don't know why Sony kept having issues on 1000X series' mics. I have first gen, and people kept telling me they can't hear me clearly when I call them using my 1000X. 1000XM3 seems to have the same issue.
Jabra 85h is recently announced new contender.
Any word if they support more than a single active connection?
@onlinepred: They are yet to be officially released. From ‘first look’ YouTube videos from CES 2019 apparently they have 2 mics specifically for voice-calls. With 6-8 mics total for NC including the 2 for voice-calls if I recall correctly.
@thebadmachine: Yes it does sound very good so far! I mean connected to two devices, like a phone and a computer at the same time. Bose QC35 can do this as an example, but 1000mx3 cannot.
@onlinepred: Yes since they have not been released there is a lack of information. My guess is they will have this (two simultaneous connection) feature, as it is going to be a up-to-date release with all the bells and whistles, to compete with the best of NC headphones. (USB-C/latest Bluetooth codecs etc I would expect everything).
Nobody should ever need to spend $499 for these. AddictedToAudio.com.au constantly has them at $397. Still not $339 though, obviously.
Purchased the last 2 silver. Black was already out of stock.
Thanks - you just beat me to it and saved me some money :D
I was in the store when you bought the last one…Oh sorry mate. They are so unbelievably good I purchased for my family. Glad I got the silver, black looks cheap.
Just price matched with Sony Koisk Chatswood. Got the silver one for $339.00.
Did u use any AMEX offer?
Yes, with $50.00 back.
Thanks :)
good price, did they have anymore?
They had at least one silver left (could be more). The black is out of stock.
Went jb and they were gonna match it but then when they check the site, its sold out ):
Damn should've gone earlier this morning :( wanted to try them both on but forgot until now
Got Sony paramatta Westfield to price match. Bought the last black one. One silver may still be available.
I got the silver one around 4:50pm, they said Black ran out already. So happy :)
Lol! lucky me i went there at around 3 pm!!
Would the noise canceling work if you’re mowing the lawn?
Nvm, Sony Amex deal not available. Excludes all sony centres
