      Yes that's usually how it works, when activating you can choose a service to use the credit on and one will be 30 day expiry.

        Better still,….as the Vodafone $40 and up gives you a 35 day expiry, better than 28, 30 or even a month 28-31.

      Yes people have been doing that for years and it's the cheapest way albeit with the time lost finding the SIMs compared to plans. If you check OzB all the time it's pretty easy ;)

      Recently some providers have been setting conditions to disallow it or discourage it.

      Currently using $5 Telstra SIMS to get 27GB a month, way more than I ever use.

          For a while I was even getting 30GB / 60 day expiry for a $2-$3 Telstra data sim, but can not share otherwise deal will be

          OzBargained lol.

      Ofc you can. Back then I used to find a good deal for new customer and keep porting out my number. It is quite a hassle though as porting process usually takes 24 hours which means that your number will be inactive during that time. That's why I only go for a deal that offer at least 3 months.
