      • Just saw that, thanks!

  • Does this one have the quad DAC?
If so, how does it compare to the DAC in the G7 and V30+?

    • -1

      does have it
      lg g7> lg g6> lgv30

    • +1

      It sounds the same.

    • I don't think the 32GB version has the quad DAC, the 64GB does have the quad DAC I believe, model number H870DS.

  • Let's see.
    2019-855
    2018-845
    2017-835
    2016-821?

Why not buy a mid range phone like redmi note 7 instead?

Edit: okay redmi note 7 is 40% more expensive, and this phone is from 2017

    • +4

      no nfc?

      • +1

Oh yay, good point, especially now that you can use your phone to pay for myki fare on Vic.

    • Also out of China

    • Because a SD 660 on the Note 7 is still weaker than SD 821 from 2016. It is however lots more energy efficient.

      • So weaker meaning no difference unless you play some games.

        • So you are willing to spend more $ for a weaker phone? Why?

Sure, if the weaker phone cost LESS, it would means no difference. Not the other way around.

          • @Bigboomboom: Well I don't think the Note 7 has aptx HD profile.

  • +1

Great price for a great phone.

  • Seems that it is AU $366.00 after the discount.

    • +2

      na ur fried

      • hmm works at that price now. Now sure what happened

  • should put sale price $255

    • na cuz 10% gst applies

      • Which comes to $281.16 correct me if I'm wrong.

        • original price is 284, then get charged for gst which is 10% then get back 10% with the code therefore back to square one which is $284

          • @Tureblue18: Nornally the last thing added is the GST after all discounts etc.

          • @Tureblue18: +10% then -10%, does not get you back to where you started. That is not how a percentage works. 10 % off a lower number, is lower than 10% of a higher number. Just saying. Lots of people get stuck on this for some reason. Here is another- 10%+10%, is not the same as +20% of the same starting value.

            • @Major Mess: I know but for this particular situation it does. You might want to look at your sums and work out what the major mess is yeah?

            • @Major Mess: it remains at $284 after applying the code then being charged GST afterwards, but the GST remains the same because the code does not apply discount towards GST. C'mon mate, how do they let you use ozbargain

              • @Tureblue18: re GST after discount.
I was referring to your comment
"original price is 284, then get charged for gst which is 10% then get back 10% with the code therefore back to square one which is $284"

Regardless. If you take a percentage and then add the percentage instead of in the other order, the percentage value does not break mathematical logic for this particular example, by some form of magic.

If discount is off the listed ex GST price.
                10% of 284 is 28.4
                284 less 28.4 is 255.6
$255.60 is then the ex GST amount

                10% of 255.6 is 25.56
$25.56 is the GST amount added at checkout

                $255.60 + $25.56 is $281.16

$281.16 is not the same as $284.

            • @Major Mess: the GST remains the same after applying the code which gives you 10%

              • @Tureblue18: That would be illegal, and not what happens with local items where the discount is taken off the whole price. The whole Harvey Norman Tax is a joke, with no consistency. Amazon are the only ones hit completely, and ebay pick and choose. Outside of that some companies ignore it and others should. It really needs to go as the unworkable garbage that the government reports said it was.

These AT&T phones are having problem with reception when using in some countries other than US.

  • Boot loops??

    • brah that was last decade

      • Writing this on a G6

    • +1

My LG G4 still rocks all this time later. It's been a great phone! No bootloop.

  • +2

Check the bands before you buy?

This is the LG-H871 - looks like it's missing a bunch of Australian bands

    • This is the LG-H871 - looks like it's missing a bunch of Australian bands

      From OP > LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 20(800), 26(850), 28(700), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500)

So which Aussie bands is it missing?

      • Agree but frequencycheck.com says different for this model.

  • Yea Be Careful I have tried LG G5 once and neither of the big three Vodafone/ Telstra/Optus working on it. Eventually had to return back to the seller

  • Wasn't SD821 a 2016 SoC? They used that in 2017?

  • Better buy a HTC U11 at that price.

    • Do you have link ?

      • If you keep looking on eBay, some private sellers have it for $300 before code. I just ordered one this morning.

        • Alright. I saw that expired link that day but it was out of stock by time I logged in. I'll keep eye cuz that's a great phone.

  • It is too old.

    • too old for what? My G4 still runs great.
