From some of the YouTube videos I fond they are practically the same. I guess in software like Revit or modelling more vram make the difference.
Does have some effect on high res and 4k, also with scalable games like resident evil 2 remake where you can adjust the vram even in 1080p it could use way more than 4gb
However problem is the rx570 is rather performance limited to fully make use of 8gb if you dial it up to 4k.
If its around same price id definitely go for it but its not a breaker
Unless already sent out (which yours isn't), your order will ship with the 8GB too tivo. It's an upgrade for all customers not already sent, as much as an apology for the timeframe as anything. They will be used from now on so only fair the existing orders get them.

That's great news Luke. Looking forward to receiving the upgrade. Are you able to give us a better indication of shipping date for those R3 2300X orders placed on the 22nd of Feb? I received an eBay msg on the 13th Mar stating "We are expecting some systems to be dispatched this week, with the majority dispatching next week" but have heard nothing since.
A big big chunk are going out today - we have cleared a lot of earlier back orders the last couple of days, so if it doesn't go today, it will definitely go Mon/Tues next week. I'll try to update you if you PM me, otherwise your tracking will update this evening or tomorrow morning if dispatched.

just to ask another question, how long would it take to go from order to pickup?
We're at about 20 days for most systems. Some people (as above) are longer than that, which I am acutely aware of and doing everything I can to change. Plenty of people have commented here about the delays and I wouldn't try to argue otherwise, because it's the reality at the moment, but we are also making huge changes internally to scale. On the whole, the OzB community has been amazingly understanding.

Rep/Luke was upfront saying it'll take a while (still waiting for mine from 23/2), and fairly regular with updates. Its almost like a kick starter, and at the price it seems a fair tradeoff. Well, proof will be in the pudding when it arrives :)

The 2300x/570 8gb without monitor arrived for me today with the 2 free games. Worked straight away out of the box, all parts intact. Overall, a good deal and a happy customer. Ordered on the 26th March and arrived on 10th April.
I bought the 4GB R3 2300X RX 570 for same price from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/439977. Been a month now and still waiting on shipping confirmation. Now they have the same price on an 8GB RX 570. Irks me a little.
Does anyone know how big a difference performance wise between the two cards?
