Some more good deals from Tech Slow, these two PC's represent the best value of the lineup in my opinion. Also some nice price's on first gen AMD thread ripper CPU's when compared to staticice.
You will likely have a long shipping time for these PC's, still waiting on a PC from the 19/2 to ship (likely this week). Expect 20 business days, if you need a PC soon this deal is not for you.
PC's come with windows 10 installed but not activated. RX 570 PC is advertised to come with 2 free games via AMD's Raise The Game Promo, unsure about the RX 580.

Lol you're not wrong about the label "Techslow", it's been a month and 10 days since I bought mine, not that I'm complaining, but everyone I talk to about it thinks I've been scammed haha.

    • Yep, same here, Way to slow.

    • +2

I recommended one of these to a mate, god I feel terrible about it. Took two months to arrive and when it did the GPU was doa. Now in the process of trying to return the card and they don't respond to support emails. Terrible company.

      • +5

You should message Luketechfast here on OzBargain. He's been very responsive and helpful for me.

      • +1

They respond support email, got a replacement for my gpu last week

        • A friend of mine bought one as well and the graphics card was DOA. They responded pretty quickly. Took a little over 2 weeks to get it swapped over.

        • 2 days no response to email so I called them today, was put on hold by the computer system for 20 minutes then they hung up. At least the Jazz music was nice I guess.

I don't care how cheap it is do not buy from this company. They sell second rate trash that you will have to replace anyway.

          • @Buyingcrap: Just to update this post. Luketechfast is being very helpful with the return. It shouldn't have to come to ozbargain to get support but I am very happy with his help.

Wow, 40 days and counting and you're still waiting.

That alone kills any deal from these guys. You should be complaining, as you're hardware is depreciating & that same deal you got "may" be cheaper today or next week.

Morning Danners, I can look into your build for you if you PM the details, ebay username or first and surname. Thanks.

  • PROGRAM20..

    Ryzen 5 2600 RX 580 8GB 120GB SSD 8GB DDR4 Gaming Computer Desktop PC.
$899 to $719 after the 20% off code.

It's bullshit how they bumped the price up by $200 then gives a 20% off. I had that system in my wish list when it was $699 before.

    • +1

      Use the other listing, it's $749 less 20% = $599

    • Not the first time. The same system was $699 before any ebay discounts in January and last year even came with a 1tb hdd for same price thats now removed. Its a habit they have that they raise prices when ebay discounts come along.

      • ebay didn't sponsor the whole 20%

        store subsidised part of it

        • +1

To claim a discount, a product must have been sold at a price, for a reasonable period of time.

        • Store subsidised everytime a discount comes? Convenient.

          • @User50301: Yes, ebay didn't roll out discount event on their own.

Ebay ask the store if they want to join 20% promo event, with the condition that ebay only cover half or so.

So they up their price to cover their half.

            • @dcep: Then why remove items also if upping the cost?

              • @User50301: 5 things could happen

                1) Take the cut without jacking price

                2) Jack price to cover their half (not in full)

                3) Remove low margin item off from sale

                4) Don't participate in ebay % sale at all

                5) Be a total jack by jacking 20% to make $ off ebay subsidy

                • @dcep: They raised the price as well as removed content and partake in nearly all ebay discounts. If you are offloading cost you don't remove content as well as raise the price more than the discount is taking off.

  • Anyone else here seeing pure red?

really can't recommend these guys anymore, when looking at the overall picture.

yes you can get a 2600, compatible mobo and rx580 for bang on 600$, but everything else is below par and people are still waiting well over a month for their build. it is no longer the mad rush of xmas and new years, we are 1/4 into 2019 now - why people still need to wait 1 month+ im not sure.

in some examples where people have said they waited a month then got the pc and had a DOA GPU, that would honestly make me irate.

if they are getting a high frequency of orders, why not have a backlog of assembled machines ready to ship out, they should know the type of order numbers they get via past ebay promotions.

tbh i dont think people need to repost their deals everytime ebay has a 20% off promotion aswell.

  • They are sourcing cheap components from China or a like and passing the savings on to you. Unfortunately, standard shipping from China is slow but is cheap for the seller so they put up with it. Quality control over there is poor so you get higher than expected DOA. Now you know the truth!

    • Should order more parts so you have stock then. Also should not be DOA in most cases as they should be tested when building the system.

  • +1

I thought they tested each system before shipping? How do GPU DOAs happen? Obviously they are cheap low quality cards but surely they were working before shipping.

    • Probably something happening in transit.

A wrong speed bump or fast brake can maybe do something to some loose components inside.

    • Excluding damage in transit, testing parameters can't cover everything, or may not initially reveal a problem.

Some faults can unfold over time, both rapidly and slowly.

  • Waiting a few months might get you the current Threadripper's for similar pricing.

    • You would think the parts would be shipped within days? Not like the systems that require building.

  • 31 days and still waiting. My complain wont do anything.. I'm seriously stuck right now between refunding it and needing the system. So, I just chose to avoid ebay and raging until i receive the system
