  • Maybe put "Victoria Only" in the title, if that's the only place you deliver to.

  • Water and energy rating on the page says otherwise

    • It's an error

F&P have really bad customer service, just warning you. They recall products after almost 10 years due to high failure rates and never refund the customers.

      I think 10 years is long enough….

      • Except for the $800 plus on repairs I spent inside that 10 years.

    • There's 2 years warranty but don't stress ACL will protect you for much longer.

    • Really? I asked FP customer service for the manual of an oven like 10+ years old. They emailed it to me just on the same day. Never had such swift response from other brands.

I paid $100 more for the WH8560P2 which is a much better buy.

    • thank you but what makes the WH8560P2 a better buy? looking to get something for the apartment!

P2 has more wash cycles (13 v 9), both hot and cold (j3 has only cold), spins faster (1400rpm v 1200rpm), wrinkle free option and also the P2 has a handwash option for delicate items.

From my research the J3 was prone to suffer from leaks and failures. I ended up going the P2 for $700 and it's been fantastic.

        • Perfect! Thanks so much for the info!

        • I've had the j3 for a couple of years and it's been great. It does have a hot cycle also, but uses only the cold water inlet, it heats water itself. Very quiet, in my experience would highly recommend. Good price also.

          • @be25mojo: You're correct. The j3 has one cold water inlet only and the machine will heat the water itself. The P2 has both hot and cold inlets. If you only use cold water it will also heat the water up. I'm pretty sure the P2 will consume less energy if you're using both inlets.

        • Thank you for the review, I bought one yesterday, so it is nice to hear positive experiences

    • Is this price still available? Where?

      • Try appliance online. Pretty sure there's one left on their eBay store and use the discount code. I think best price is around $800 on their eBay store. You can always call and see what the best price they can do is.

    • Yes, i do agree with that washsmart is always better than quicksmart with all extra cycles and features.
But unfortunately i had a leakage with the machine after 1 year, turned out to be common issue with that batch of WH8560P2.
15 min job by FP tech, no issues after that.

@sergeant thanks for a good detailed description

    • No problems. I spent a couple of weeks researching both before I decided on the P2 so thought I'd save someone else the hassle.

  • I've owned this model for 3 months. Whisper quiet washes well and the hot wash works well just through the cold tap. Takes a good load been a 8.5kg and really can't complain about our experience so far. Paid $538 in Dec 2018

  • we have had this for about 9 months very happy with it but it did stop spinning on a Sunday the wife rang on the Sunday and it was repaired Tuesday morning very happy with the quick service

  • Just wondering how F & P are as a brand/whole? Looking for our first machine and not sure also what the benefits are of jumping over to a front loader from top loader. It seems all the top loaders fail to get anywhere near the lower litres of water/load and energy stars/rating as the front loaders?

The only other bugbear i imagine is the top loaders you can add clothes in mid wash cycle, not to mention cramming stuff in is easier with a top loader given it can't fall out the front like a front loader when full.

    Any advice?
