My experience with non-Dyson "cyclonic" vacuum cleaners is that the bag is replaced by a filter which you have to clean every 20 minutes. The "cyclonic" aspect is there for show only, because Dyson holds the patent on the concept of separating dust from air by centrifugal force. So other vacuum cleaners cannot use this method. It looks like it does what Dyson does, but it's for show only.
I owned a "cyclonic" one before of around that price and it was a nightmare of continuously cleaning the clogged filters.
We have a bagless Sanyo vacuum (1400w) and it does slow down as it fills but nowhere near as much as others. Had it for over 4 years now and still works fine and nothing has fallen off or broke.
One thing i can affirm is that like all Sanyo vacuum cleaners it will not blow up and fall apart like Samsung and other garbage makers. A Samsung vacuum we had went up in a puff of smoke @ 13 months… bad luck or good warranty period engineering?? :-(
Can anyone comment on this vacuum? Couldn't find many reviews on it.
