  • I've been with Flip since the week NBN came out on my suburb. Excellent pricing and EXCELLENT customer service.

  • yep, fliptv is really good for speed and pricing. typically 40M around 8pm for downlink via my fttc nbn.

  • +1

I've been with Flip for 8 months now and their local speeds are good, but international speeds have been considerably slower than other providers I have been with. I'm on a 50/20 FTTP connection.

  • Have been with Flip for the past month. Have experienced significant slow downs in the afternoon/evening! Have a case logged to give them the benefit of the doubt to resolve!

    • They don't have their own network. Vocus is rubbish and performance will vary widely.

    • been on a vocus isp before.
can confirm mav's comments good dl speed's
      but bad gaming latency.

new isp 0 issues in both

  • I'd been with flip on 12/1 nbn (unlimited) $39.99 for 6 months. I believe it was good value for money.

  • I’m on Fast 50 and no complaints. Busy family across a number of devices - previously with Mungi & ABB, but this is better value for what I am after while still with the consistency we need.

  • When I was choosing a new ISP after the Telecube scandal (they liquidated and went bankrupt after a big influx of new users at unsustainable prices) FlipTV was one of the best value ones (now belong nbn is the best value one I can find) but didn't go with them because I was not aware of their reputation and still burnt by another ISP trying low price tactics.

So I went with TPG which is still not the greatest but they had an unlimited local calls to landline and mobiles phone plan $10 (pretty bog standard) and their 50/20 nbn fttn was competitive at $69.99 on their 18 month contract so I bit the bullet.

Still too many restrictions imho but honestly my republic, aussie broad band, exetel, click broadband and some others weren't offering many great services around the period and my premonition of mungi came true (they shut down) atm as at 18th of March 2019 lets be mates is still going strong but for how long I don't know but they have some really flexible great customer service all round great rates).

Depending on my needs I may go down to belong nbn at $55/month for 30mbps estimated peak time (no idea what the actual download/upload speeds are at or if they are doing dodgy advertising so may pass them who knows needs to find more).

I learnt my lesson with Telecube not to chance with unknown or lesser known ISP's and RSP's but sometimes you get sneakily tempted to risk it for the price cut.

But yeah seems FlipTV seems to be the best one atm let us hope they last long and my paranoia does not pay off.

Ah the mobile and ISP/RSP game is a fun one to play in :)
