  • IS IT good?

    • +2

For the purpose of travelling, no. Ozbargain people should use the 555 bus instead.
      For sightseeing, yes.

And there're lots of other discounts included in the ticket which maybe worth $5 by themselves.

      • +1

Mind you, half the carriages are covered with ads these days which would obscure the view.

      • if you live in the inner west and the bus is more expensive, as it is in my case, then this is useful.

      • +1

The light rail is useful for the purpose of travelling to Leichardt.

The monorail is about as useful as the escalator to nowhere.

  • +5

Sydney monorail tickets are way too expensive. $5 is a good deal for daily travelers.

  • yeah what stops do they stop at?

  • "To redeem, just present your Ouffer voucher at any monorail station in Sydney City or Darling Harbour"

Why can't you redeem on board a tram :(

    • +1

it's a pity Ouffer don't have live chat to ask them about it. the deal exipres in 1 day 13hrs so I'll give the light rail guys a call tomorrow since I want to buy this deal. I'll report back tomorrow afternoon.

      • Edit: Called them and they confirmed the coupon can definitely be presented on the tram (makes sense since you have to buy a ticket on board the tram, not before). So that's all cleared up, I'm buying 2 or 3 perhaps.

Is there a chance the track could bend?

  • +1

So then, mono means one…and rail means rail…and that concludes our intensive 3-week course.

  • Whats that spell? MONORAIL!

  • +1

Heres a Light Rail day pass for $6. Less value yes but if you don't live in Sydney and might not use the $5 voucher its less of a "risk"

  • By the way this is what you get for $5.

Well, sir, there's nothing on earth
    Like a genuine,
    Bona fide,
    Electrified,
    Six-car
    Monorail!
    What'd I say?
    Monorail!

    What's it called?
    Monorail!

    That's right! Monorail!

I hear those things are awfully loud…
It glides as softly as a cloud.

Is there a chance the track could bend?
Not on your life, my Hindu friend.

    What about us brain-dead slobs?
    You'll be given cushy jobs.

Were you sent here by the devil?
No, good sir, I'm on the level.

The ring came off my pudding can.
Take my pen knife, my good man.

    I swear it's Sydney's only choice…
Throw up your hands and raise your voice!

    Monorail!

    What's it called?
    Monorail!

    Once again…
    Monorail!

But Pacific Highway's cracked and broken…
Sorry, Mum, the mob has spoken!

    Monorail!
    Monorail!
    Monorail!

    Mono… D'oh!

I'm going to have to neg this.

    It says 'UNLIMITED TICKETS!'

And then it says SOLD OUT.

    • +2

Well, considering that when purchasing group buy deals they cap the amount at 1 voucher per person, Ouffer were being generous in letting you buy an unlimited amount (be it 2, 5, 10…). They sold 3007 vouchers all up, were you by any chance planning on purchasing such a huge amount?

I agree it sucks that they sold out, I'm just not a fan of negging for such minor & mundane reasons.

    • hey 31mop it said unlimited travel and not unlimited tickets.
And what unlimited vouchers means is that there is no restriction on the number of vouchers per person can buy.
get your facts right before jumping the gun.
