Why is the McD Android app so bad? Last couple of times I've gone in for one of these app specials I've been unable to order through the app. It prompts you to restart the app but doest help. I've had to scan the barcode and pay in store like a pleb. Why is the KFC app infinitely better??? Even Dominos is way better and you can just use their website and not even download app. It's not like McD dont have any $ :(
Try clearing the application cache - this essentially is a hard reset of the app and has fixed issues for me in the past where the app was updated and wasn't backwards compatible with the data stored in the cache.
Probably outsourced dev.
Agreed it's rubbish. I keep keep getting a problem where you just can't press any buttons in the app. Cache wipe didn't help either.

i suggest before going to the macdonalds checking via the app if the thickshake is available as sometimes the machine is offline
The last few times that has happened, I just say: 'No worries, what will you offer me as an alternative?' And I've been given a Frappe instead.
I always prepay via the Kiosk, so its probably easier to just make the Frappe than process the refund.
This happened to me today. Ordered my thickshake and the damn machine broke down just after. No thickshake and lost code. Didnt want anything else. Was pretty PO'd. Manager was less than professional about it. Made a smart comment saying "should i tell the machine to not break down next time". Wont be going back there. Kind of annoying they cant offer a voucher to use later.
Complain to head office about the manager, maybe you'll get free food out of it!

@jv: That gravel area is now unused paved, some sort of, parking area, without cars.
Grass is much better, no dogs and they would need to run a fair distance to find any moving traffic.

ive never gotten a free shake on the app. Only get frozen coke, ships and spider for free. Get the shake with cream on top for $2 every once in a while.
