Cheaper to buy two of these. Just print odd and even pages to each printer and move the papers from the output tray of one to the paper tray of the other. :)
If you can get the duplex at not much extra and you do a lot of printing it will probably save some paper cost in the long term.
If you are looking to use compatible toners, the duplex one uses chipped toners which adds to the cost. This one does not.

If you don't mind compatible toner $16 on eBay, 1,200 pages yield.
Make sure you get the compatible one that is at least $15 plus dollars. Anything cheaper may be a dud. ImO. The genuine high yield ones are $129 or so at OW

We have this printer. It's fine for the job. Easy set up. Just had an issue with cheap toner where it didn't work properly.

I had to send them an email to which they replied that it was ready for pickup at the city store. This was for the MFC-L2710DW
Recently bought HL-2350DW, which can do duplex (double sided printing). Not sure if this one can do duplex. For a laser wireless, it's worth the money.
