  • What's the difference?

    Samsung Galaxy S10 Dual Sim G973FD 4G 128GB White - $1209
    Samsung Galaxy S10 Dual Sim G9730 128GB Prism White - $1053

    That's $150 difference

    • FD is Dual SIM?

      • Both listed as dual SIM

        • +2

          G9730 - Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) - USA/LATAM, China
          G973FD - Exynos 9820 Octa (8 nm) - EMEA

          this is the main difference

          kind regards

          • @MyMobile: Can use G9730 in Aus?

            • @Sabrex: It'll work, but network performance may vary as the US model uses a modem specifically for US networks that differ to the standards used internationally.
US models also can't have the bootloader unlocked for those who like to use custom ROM's etc.
It's why they tend to be cheaper.
EDIT: Someone provided the band difference https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/7032925/redir

          • @MyMobile: Greetings,

Your website does not have FD written with the model. Would it be wtitten correctly on invoice ( for 28degree credit card claim for price drop)

Also when can I expect delivery if ordered today.

            Regards

  • Samsung S10 have flagship phones back down to around $1000 with discounts. a Good sign. Hopefully Apple follow suit

    • You missed the /s

      • haha yeah, after literally every iphone since they've been out I haven't bought the XS and if they don't lower the price I'm gonna finally switch to android. The biggest loss for me will be iMessage/facetime and iCloud sync of calendar for my MacBook… if anyone cares haha

        • Yea I do miss iPhone, but I don't miss the money I saved. I don't even buy these flagships anymore as I upgrade every 2 years or so anyway. If they get to really good prices like around $700 mark then I will jump. But phones just aren't worth so much these days as they are so fragile and mostly do the same stuff anyway - just paying more for tiny incremental jumps. Will def be getting a s10e or s10 as work phone though.

        • +1

You can actually use Google account to sync your calendar between Mac and Samsung. works just the same as iCloud.

@tyvod: I didn't know this. awesome. Thankyou. Now just wish the graphics in WhatsApp didn't make it look so shitty and id be ready to get on board

  • Just to highlight warranties that come with these phones:

    12 Months Australia-wide Warranty
DOA replacement within the first 48 hours of delivery
Repair guarantee: within 30 days, generally 7 days, and replacement phone or store credit offered if unable to repair within guaranteed timeframe
Return postage to Brisbane repair centre is at Buyer's expense
    Free delivery of repaired/replaced devices
In the event of a refund, postage costs are not refundable

The following conditions will VOID all warranty:

Physical Damage - such as broken or cracked screens, broken sim reader terminals or any other damage caused by physical trauma, impact or pressure to the device
Liquid Ingression - evident by corrosion to internal components or activation/tampering of liquid indicator stickers
Software Tampering - such as jailbreaking or rooting of devices with non-approved 3rd party software
Hardware Tampering - such as opening of housings or self-repair

Dead Pixels: If there are less than 9 dead pixels discovered on LCD screen - Item/s will NOT be considered as DOA as Manufactures do not offer repair, replacement or refund, unless the dead pixels are at the centre of the screen.

    • That's too many dead pixels.

      • One is to many…

    • I’ve never really seen a dead pixel. How many, is too many, and what’s the chances?

  • -5

Software Tampering - such as jailbreaking or rooting of devices with non-approved 3rd party software

    will VOID "ALL" WARRANTY

What does software modification have to do with hardware issue.

The warranty VOID section is a huge RED FLAG! Stay away.

    • Ever heard of bricking? Fair enough policy I believe.

      • Yeah Nah. root does not break the phone in itself. My point still stands.

    Snapdragon CPU, everyone. Good news!

  • Does this have all the bands of the Australian version?

Sorry am at work and can't do the analysis myself.

    • Hello yes all Australian bands are in both phones

      G973FD-
      Missing: all CDMA bands
      4G FDD LTE: Bands 12, 29, 30

      G9730-
      Missing:
      3G UMTS: 1700(AWS)
      4G FDD LTE: Band 17(700)

      • 4G FDD LTE: Band 17(700)

700Mhz is Band 28, which this phone supports?

Also, Band 17 isn't used by Telstra, Optus or Vodafone in Australia, according to https://oztowers.com.au/Bands

        • +1

Band 17 and 28 are different. Even though its 700mhz, there is differences between them all, which is why they mention the band not the mhz, since multiple bands use the same mhz but different parameters.

Band 17 is used in USA. Where as Band 28 is used in Australia.

          • @lplau: Ok thanks. So I can conclude that missing Band 17 is not a concern if using the phone in Australia.

      • Australia Network Frequencies

  • Will OW price match this?

    • -2

Why would you even ask? These are imported, non-Aus stock, of course OW aren't going to price match! Noone would price match!

        • Well, it does say the item has to be identical. Grey imports will be FD version or the Snapdragon version.

          • @ausdday: FD is the Australian version, but it's dual-sim though. Not sure if they consider that as identical

            • @OzBestDeal: FD is not australian version, D means dual sim, which isn't a local model.
Only local models which has dual sims are the higher versions, for example S10+ 512GB and 1TB. All other S10+ models are single sim in Australia.

          • @ausdday: Sometimes they don't check the model number and you get away with it. but yea, OW does price match grey stock now.

        • FD - Australian

          • +1

@yabol: Nope FD not australian. F is australian which is the single sim verson.

  • Orders Over $1100 (Incl. Shipping and GST) may be subject to Customs Charges

How much would these customs charges be?

    • Approx $200 (you pay GST and duties)
The OP maybe importing them into australia then sending from australia which would avoid duties.
Or they are doing the dodgy which is falsely declaring customs, which sometimes they do pickup on.

I remember importing a laptop, it was retailing for $2000 in australia but was a refurb from USA and came down to $900, they wanted me to provide additional information to prove my purchase.

either the OP or somebody who has purchased from them, will need to confirm what they do.

Also please note that quite often Samsung Grey imports will not be factory sealed, and will have been opened. This is usually due to the supplier sourcing these from a region which uses "region locking" and requires you to activate the phone using a local sim-card, so they do it before sending it out of the country. Note, that there are some dodgy suppliers which would do this with refurbs or used or returned phones.

OP will need to confirm this, as i am not sure if this is the case with the ones they have.

      • Thanks lplau.

The item page states that GST is already included in the price, but it does have the Customs Charges statement as above.

          Hello

@MyMobile: You mention on your website:
"For the purpose of customs and border processing, the end customer is the importer of the product and will be liable for any such taxes."

Can you confirm if I order S10+ I'll be paying $1209 only and no more?
Does that mean customer are paying the additional import tax?

Another question, I'm planning to go abroad, can I get GST refund if I buy this phone from you as GST is included in the price?

  • I went to their eBay store to perhaps order a phone (not s10) and it said delivery is expected 26-28 of March. That is nearly 3 weeks of waiting. Crazy. Even though their prices are good, I decided not to order and just keep shopping around for now.

    • Hello
Please allow 5 business days of handling time, we are work as fast as we can, as we understand everyone needs there new device as soon as possible
I would believe if you order today you will receive your new phone early to mid-next week

      Kind regards

  • FYI The 9730 and 9750 models do not support Samsung Pay, VoLTE and WiFi calling in Australia.

Stick with the 973F/D and 975F/D if you prefer those features.

    • From my experience, VoLTE would not work howSamsung Pay would work. I have dual sim S9+

      • is your S9+ the G965F/D or G9650?

        • G965F/D

Samsung pay is workin, I use it every day.

Volte never worked even after telstra gave their attempt to make it work, no luck.

Previous comment was meant to have "howwever" auto correct changed it to how.

          • @samgill: Hello
we have just tested a S10 G973FD import stock and VoLTE works
we are getting in the G9730 this week to test

            kind regards

            • @MyMobile: Please report back on the wireless pay on the 9730 too.
I use Google pay (not Samsung), if that makes any difference.

              • @Iceman-jkh: Google Pay definitely works. I've got an HK S9+ and Google Pay works here in Aus.

            • @MyMobile: does the VoLTE work on G9730?
