  • $5 cashback (normally $2) for existing Uber Eats customers

      Hi Nexo,

      Not all stores offer a percentage cashback amount back, some are at fixed amounts like Uber Eats.

      If you are new to Uber Eats (ie. you never placed an order on there before) then you get $25 cashback on your first order.

      You can register with Uber first, then click through Uber Eats via ShopBack to place your order.

  • another question, if i have just one shopback account, but i can create two new uber account using my spare two mobile numbers, when i do this, do i get two $25 cashback? thanks.

    • A new account can be considered a new customer, so in theory yes. But the onus is on Uber to report back on whether you are a new customer or not for both accounts.

    Who doesnt have an Ubereats account these days. Plus you need a mobile to register so unless you have multiple phone numbers, all these "new user only" promotions are rubbish.

    • I have actually never ordered from UberEats yet but i always thought it was just a app based system on your phone, didnt realise you could get cashback from it and order via a website. I guess i just thought it was the same as Uber.

      I actually have some credit on my ubereats account at the moment but probably wont work with this sounds like

      • Oww nice, definately make use of the promotion while its around…that's a free dinner! Not sure about credits though, mentions not in conjuction with coupons. Hoping credit is separate. If so…few free dinners… score!

          Sadly the credit was 20$ for a new user as well…so its probably only one or the other :(. 25$ cash back is better BUT cash back can be so unreliable and late and sometimes will never come through and you dont realise as its only meant to come through like 3 months or 6 months later….

            • @M-G: I find shopback far slower than cash rewards too. to even just confirm the cash back has been approved. then there is pricepal which still owes me like 80$ .

      • You can use the Uber website to order an Uber as well. The app isn't needed.

        At least I can on my mobile.

      But could have ordered a $1.35 cookie from Subway plus delivery😀
      Either way, it should be a profit💰

      • McDonalds has ketchup for free (+delivery). It's just not clear if it's "$25 cash", or "up to $25 cash back".

        • Was stated as $25 for new customers & $5 for existing - so up to $25 cashback.
          Sauces are 55c - the $1.35 cookie would beore enjoyable.

            But if I were forced to eat my purchase, I would also go for the cookie.

          Doubt $25 cashback (up from $15 for new customers) will be honoured as now shows only $5 when clicking through ShopBack site & App😠

          Reliability is vital in a business offering CashBack - often months later. If trust is lost - the business can't make money if we don't use ShopBack.

          Tireless TA is almost always there to sort out issues on CR👍 And CR guarantees Cashback in this type of situation!

          SB is only around in normal working hours - based in Singapore.

          New UberEats Customer Cashback was $15 before this promotion! So a small order is now less Cashback for new customers than existing customers😠 (Seems like a hurried change there SB!)

          [Update] latest update shows "up to $15" - Existing customers get $15.

          But only shows $5 on App & site when click through - just checked.

          Site has banner promoting $5 for existing customers until midnight.

    Uber Eats will duck and weave on this. Don't buy something just to get / expect $25 back. I removed all my Uber Eats / Uber accounts, not the kind of business I want to support.

      Email received this morning shows $25 for new customer until midnight - same as this deal😠

      My guess is UberEats pulled the Cashback as too many were redeeming offer through ShopBack. Offers often state may be withdrawn earlier.

      Stomach rumbling😭 Not happy😠 Neg the Deal!

      As you say you've known that's incorrect for some time - that's very deceptive.

      People may not notice the decreased Cashback at time of ordering - as ShopBack had stated this deal would be available until midnight today😠

      [Update] I requested Mods to mark the $25 offer as expired a while ago. You've now changed it. ShopBack should have acted much earlier to correct that😠

      I missed out on the $25 offer as the restaurant was not open earlier. When it opened, the $25 was then 15% for new customers.

      Not happy. Won't trust ShopBack.

          ShopBack presumably were hurredly changing the offer after $25 was withdrawn early - put it as 15% instead of $15 for new customers. For a short time the offer was no Cashback! Who knows where we stand?😱

    Withdrawing a deal early - which was promoted (here, in emails, on their site) with a specified end time, then making a number of incorrect changes before resetting deal for new customers to what it was before this disappearing Deal…
    Can't trust ShopBack😠

    I've battled with ShopBack in an earlier deal for providing incorrect or misleading information. Those following ShopBack's advice could have missed out on the Cashback! After days pushing ShopBack, they had to agree that advice may be misleading & guaranteed Cashback.
    ShopBack are a serial offender😠

    Shopback's business solely relies on our trust that we can rely on their promises of being paid Cashback some time in the future - if we put our purchases through ShopBack (to make ShopBack it's $).
    Without that trust, ShopBack loses its income.

    I was looking forward to discounted UberEats tonight. Not any more. I wouldn't trust ShopBack to give even the $15 now offered😠

    And here is the very different story in response to my email complaint to ShopBack support…

    We apologize for the inconvenience regarding UberEats cashback. However not to worry, you will still get $25 cashback if you are a new UberEats customer, for orders made until midnight today. If you did not, do get back to us and we would be glad to check that for you.
    Also upon checking your ShopBack account, you did have click through to UberEats today however no cashback is tracked yet. UberEats would take up to 2 days to track your purchase for cashback. Once your cashback is tracked, do get back to us if its not $25.

    • No. This would only apply to those who had already ordered. Its been made abundantly clear that the $25 cashback is no longer applicable for any subsequent orders

      • That's my point - received this email from ShopBack AFTER that statement by ShopBack rep here.
        It is the most recent information direct from ShopBack. Later correspondence from Support will overrule earlier advice from a Rep.

        As ShopBack listed the midnight expiry in emails & on their site & backed up now by Support - they will have to honour it.

        Its been made abundantly clear that the $25 cashback is no longer applicable for any subsequent orders

        ShopBack Support clearly state: you will still get $25 cashback if you are a new UberEats customer, for orders made until midnight today

        Of course that's the problem with ShopBack - can we trust them😱

        • Yes that may have been said to you. No one is going to take that as an offer to everyone. The site, the app, the rep here on ozbargain, heck even the emails have indicated that the $25 cashback is revoked.

            I only received the original email offer ending midnight & the response 90 minutes ago from Support stating it is still valid.

            As I said - you & others are free to contact support on address & Support worker quoted.

                        @harthagan: As I said the offer was available on the app & site until mid this afternoon (at least until 6.5 hours ago when I went to order with $25 cashback - couldn't as restaurant was closed), but you say you were notified early this morning it was not available??

                        Loss of $25 offer was first spotted 4.5 hrs ago which I confirmed & contacted ShopBack by PM & email, reported issue to Mods.

                        How can the email change after it was received to change Cashback amount? [Only by clicking link in the email will you see it is reduced to $15 on the site or app!! (Was $0, $5, & 15% earlier!!) But that's not stated in any email as you claim😉]

                        Mine still shows $25 expiring midnight - at bottom of screenshot of only Cashback promotion received today.

                        Please post your email showing the notification Cashback was reduced to $15 - supporting your claim above heck even the emails have indicated that the $25 cashback is revoked.

                        Point is ShopBack Support say they will honour this deal for purchases until midnight - as it was promoted in that ShopBack email. ShopBack made mistakes - so they have to.

                        I've successfully badgered ShopBack before to honour their promises for everyone affected! - it resulted in a similar good outcome

                        Thanks for your lack of support for my continuing efforts with ShopBack to keep them to their promises & give accurate advice.
