  • Doesn't include delivery unfortunately. Still a good price. Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 2TB is a good price too for $360 Delivered

    slow, crappy drive.

Depends on what you need it for really. If you're comparing it to a performance model that's going to cost $100 more then sure, but if you're looking for a budget storage option to replace/upgrade from an old spinner or to fill up that second m2 slot then it's not a bad option

      Harsh crowd tonight.
This is NOT a slow drive, but it's not a high-performance drive either.
It is considered higher than average performance for mainstream use, expect it to out perform most sata ssd drives.
Intel make highly reliable drives, so thumbs up from me.

If you want a slow crappy drive, try a western digital green drive. Pissed my money up the wall with that purchase.

Performance is on par with the Samsung 970 Evo, but cheaper….

More like entry level NVME SSD for SATA SSD price.
It is on the slow end of NVME drives, but still faster than any SATA SSD, at a great price, with Intel reliability.
In real world use the extremely fast SSD's don't make much of a difference to most applications.

Example from the Tom's link above…

Game Scene Loading - Final Fantasy XIV
Sammy 970 Pro 20.53 seconds (~ $443 cheapest on static ice)
      Intel 660p 21.38 seconds

  • The 2TB model is on sale on Newegg.ca for $299 CAD + tax but does not seem to ship internationally https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167…

  • I heard newegg delivery times are crappy, is that true?

    • +1

It's been faster than average for me, just over a week to Brisbane
edit: That was when they had free AU postage, it was sent by DHL

    • Newegg delivery times are great, however check postcodes for delivery costs (I found delivery costs for 2 almost identical postcodes to be out by a factor of 2-3 - thinking it was a bug in their shipping calculations though).

Biggest concern is warranty and returns. I have a PSU that I bought that will cost upwards of $70 AUD to ship to Taiwan as it failed under warranty.

      • I see, thanks for the response

i just went with the safer option for now and ordered a normal ssd from Amazon since i need it in a week, will get nvme later lol
