Looks like a decent price for a decent hard drive. I'll be shucking mine

10TB out of stock but will be shipped later. 2 per account

You can still get the 8TB for $140 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1415979-REG/wd_wdbwlg…

  • Thanks OP. You can save a few dollars by choosing DHL express instead of DHL global in the checkout.

  • Nice price, does anyone know what drives are in there?

Apparently, people are starting to get 10tb air drives instead of heliums?

    159.99 now?

  • I was excited, until the "2 per account".

    Shame.

    $250+ $20 shipping at Amazon.com.au (via Amazon).
They're also limit 2 per customer, however.

    • Would this qualify for free shipping if I sign up for prime trial?

(also don't forget 6% shopback cash back, making it $235.17 effective)

      • +1

Strange but doesn't seem to be Free Prime shipping even though it's coming from Amazon US (Normally is so not sure what is going on there) I'm getting $18 for delivery and I'm a Prime member

        • Agreed same here, i'm also a Prime member and shipping is $18

        • +2

Now showing as free delivery with prime :)

    • Oops, meant 'via Amazon US'.

How do you guys think this compares to the Seagate Backup Hub deal from a couple of days ago? What's the better buy if they were both available at $250?

  • +2

Good spot. Bought two from Amazon. I'll shuck mine too. Recommend fully testing them before shucking though. Also prefer buying from Amazon as they usually are fine for returns if it's faulty.

    • Good advice! Definitely test drive for any errors before shucking. Otherwise voids warranty.

What tool/software do you guys use to test the drive?

      • I use crystal disk. It's older but also has many purposes including restoring damaged drive data

  • Hi does anyone know if there is warranty for this in Australia? the product code ends in NESN instead of AESN so…

    • I think Amazon would have to honour Australian consumer law.

      • Amazon isn't the seller.

      • correct, and warranties cover a longer time than a retailer does

        • Amazon is the seller though. It’s sold by Amazon US.

@7hil: the original post was B&H Photo Video?

            • @mikelsn62: Sorry. My bad. Part way through we started talking about buying it from Amazon. Apologies.

$159.99 now, still on backorder. Same price on amazon.com

  • Damn they just put back the backorder date to April 2nd after it was at March 20th for past few weeks. How can it take them so long to get in stock?

  • Mines now been shipped
