BENEFITS
• KeySmart is a frustration-free solution to the conventional problems of carrying a keyring.
• Instead of your keys dangling loosely from a chain, they're smartly hidden away inside the KeySmart's durable yet compact frame, ready to be produced when they're needed.

Space for up to 10 keys, as well as USB memory sticks and more
• Home, work, car, perhaps a personal safe or storage space.
• Of course, you're not just limited to conventional keys.
• Maybe your workplace has a state-of-the-art electronic lock system, or maybe you want to carry a crucial USB memory stick for work.
• Both of these objects would be ideal to fit inside the KeySmart.

Sturdy loop also included for car fobs and larger items
• Whether you need a fob for unlocking your car or have a larger key than KeySmart can accommodate.
• This handy holder also includes a larger loop for attaching slightly more unwieldy items.

Stops your keys jingling loudly in your pocket
• The noise of your keys jingling away as you walk can be annoying, not just for you, but for those around you as well.
• KeySmart eliminates this sound pollution and keeps things quiet thanks to a clever form factor which maximises space and minimises size.

Extra-portable size
• You can take KeySmart anywhere with you - to work, to the gym, on a business trip or holiday, while shopping - as this great gadget is only 85mm long.
• KeySmart really will completely replace your conventional keyring, and you won't miss the bulk or extra noise generated.

This seems like a really stupid thing to pay $69 for. If you keep losing keys and you're a true ozbargainer, you would buy those 3 for $5 or whatever tracker to secure with your keys. Problem solved. You even get to keep your nice key holder.

This is expensive, but it is a nice form factor for a Tile.

      They're $84.95 for 4.

You even get to keep your nice key holder.

This looks nicer than my key holder and won't jingle around in my pocket. :)

    • That is a solution yes - but the key feature of Tile is that it can be tracked by other members of the community - helpful if you've lost it more than 10m away.

      • Has anyone got experience with actually trying to use that feature. I’ve been sceptical as to how well it’d work in Australia. Don’t see that many people using tiles myself (although I guess in most cases if they did I’d have no reason to know about it),. Curious if anyone in Australia lost keys on a street, shopping centre, bus stop or similar and were able to get them back via the crowd source feature.

I lost my work ID a few months ago on the train. Reported it as lost property etc. Thought I had lost hope, but a fellow tile user walked past the lost property office at Central Station, and it alerted me. Visited the place - it wasn't on the system, but my phone was able to connect to the Tile and ring it… Turned out it had been tagged but not logged in the system, so if it wasn't for the Tile I'd never have gotten my ID back (yes it's replaceable etc.) and my cafe loyalty cards.

Also, the app shows at least 10k+ users in a 5km radius of the CBD, so I reckon it's still better than nothing.

  • I've been using the much cheaper nut tracker,

works great and has helped me find my keys and other things a few times.

    • But does it have the community support that tile has? Which is when you really need the tracker is when something is lost.

Are you writing this from the afterlife?

He's got the keys to the portal

  • $69.91 direct from the company

    or 5 for $251.68 delivered = $50.34 each

Not exactly a bargain here. Better off organising a group buy. Also shows the profit margin in place.

    • If anyone else is looking for one I'd be happy to join in on a group buy.

    • Looks like it comes from the US. GST on top?

  • This is pretty cool. What are peoples thoughts on getting on of these through airport security? With the key extended it looks a little dodgy.

    • Perfectly fine for airport security.

    • Just a stab in the dark, but I think they will confiscate the bottle opener as it is sooo much sharper than a key

      • The bottle opener is what made me question it

        • I fly a few times a month domestically with mine. Sometimes they pick it up to check it out, but once they see it's a bottle opener, they're fine.

I have flown three times overseas also without issue.

    • I have the non-tile Titanium version. Not at all Ozbargain like in terms of cost but I like the styling. You sometimes get pulled up by security in the airport, as they think it's a pocket knife, but when they open it, they see it's just keys and they let you through.

I bought this tile version for my wife and it works great. She loses her keys in the house all the time and uses the app on her phone to find it.

The actual company site has regular sales, so if you kept an eye on it, you could probably get it cheaper than this.
