  • Under More Information there's a line saying "Second grade warranty terms 2 Years". What does this mean?
Then in Shipping Information, there's a section near the bottom saying.

Does this mean this product is second grade, hence why cheap?

    FIRST GRADE

    SECOND GRADE

Yeah, looks like something secondhand, returned or similar.

Probably factory seconds (small imperfection somewhere) The other thing to check is the size of the compressor…often makers user the smaller compressor in a larger cabinet and, as a result, they never perform up to advertised spec. I've returned several that never got anywhere near their advertised temps and found that the only food that remained frozen was that right against the plate…anything towards the top would defrost\refreeze or only be semi frozen.

Evakool used to be better built than they are now. I sold mine after the second warranty repair and bought an Engel - it hasn't missed a beat.

  • not as good as they used to be …you have to look at the specs because they used danfoss in all of them once now they have Chinese compressors in certain models
