I was about to recommend but then realised I own XB271HU not XB271HUA (IPS vs TN)

      • +2

I would definitely recommend it, I have owned it for 3(?) years now and has worked flawlessly. Can be some odd issues where the picture can go off centre if you turn it off then back on, but to fix that all you do is turn it off and on again lol (very rarely though)

It is definitely my best monitor purchase to date and I used to think high refresh rates were a gimmick/not that noticeable but it most certainly is.

I use a 1080ti with it and most of the time get 100-144 on high/ultra depending on game
G sync is definitely a life saver too

I also recommend this monitor. Also mate, with the off centre issue, this can be fixed by overclocking the monitor to 150hz.

@leeson865: I'm also getting the centre line issue. Will try this thanks

      • I will however note I do not really use it with the overclock to 165hz as I sometimes find some strange visual issues time to time like minor gray line flickers in some games. But there is not a difference of 144 to 165 stable

  • so far the cheapest price even seen, looks like a good bargain! thanks bro

    • Wrong was this price at harvey norman about 6 months ago lol

Please add TN somewhere in the title, as it's the difference between this being an amazing or average deal.

    BEWARE TN PANEL!

    • what's matter for TN Panel?

      • +5

This model often gets confused with the superior IPS model.

        • -1

It's not superior for competitive games.

          • @Diji1: If you want a monitor for competitive games you'd get a 1080p 240Hz panel.

          • @Diji1: My bad, forgot all ozbargainers were professional gamers on 200k a year.

      • +1

Once you go ips you can't go back.

  • Almost bought this monitor a while back. Its excellent for anyone interested. Although I went with the Viewsonic XG2703-GS instead. Specifically because its IPS. Would 100% recommend it if you can find it on sale even better.

Not an amazing price for HUA (TN) model.

    Same as these:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/417202
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/431312

Also, please update deal description with correct model number under the heading 'Box Contents'.

  • If we had price parity with the US, we'd be able to get the slightly older Freesync IPS version of this for $600. Given that this model is likely on clearance, I don't see how this is a great deal.

  • -1

It has been cheaper if you had Domayne amex offer and get a $750GC for $600 and get it from HN for $697 with $53 spare on the GC. (got the monitor on this deal last month and yeah my eye was more then happy with the TN panel over the premium on the IPS version).

I just bought the IPS version of this yesterday and I was about to break down into tears. Realised it was the TN panel after I looked closely lmao
