Not bad but only TN panel.

  • No where near as good as this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/387939. They doo come down below $700 from time to time, for those prepared to wait.

  • All though it's a Tn panel if you set it up right it's a great monitor as other,s have stated has dropped a lot lower.

Happy with purchase won't be disappointed.

Your right these TN's are fine plus you get 1ms response.

      • Wouldn't a VA panel with 1ms and 144hz at the same or slightly cheaper price be better??

        • AFAIK VA Panels can't get 1ms generally and if they do it's just the best case scenario response time. Monitor manufacturers advertise "1ms grey to grey" but they neglect to mention the 10+ ms black transitions.

For those who are sensitive to the issue VA panels will often have "black smearing" due to these long black pixel transitions.

If you want good response times it's go for TN, settle for IPS and avoid VA.

If good blacks and contrast matter more to you than avoiding blurring effects on fast moving objects then VA is good.

I paid $420 after Cashback for mine. It's a good monitor, but I don't think think it's worth more than $500.

With the recent changes nvidia have made with respect to gysnc, I'd be looking at a good ips freesync monitor. Much better value.

    • Can you suggest one?

Assuming the FreeSync varients perform the same as those with G-Sync, which hasn't been proven yet.

  • TN panel and GSync is not the only option for NVIDIA card anymore, since the last 2 drivers update. May want to save some $ while getting IPS with FreeSync.

  • Isnt this a better option? 155Hz 1440p FreeSync for 573$

Interesting, but not on Nvidia's "G-Sync Compatible" list yet, so the one in this deal would be a safer pick if you intend to use a GeForce card.

  • I bought this monitor last year in August for $470 (with shopback) - stupid price. No regrets - great performance and pretty good for a TN panel.
However, for $700+ I'd consider other options which are IPS.
