Woohoo, mine is spend $50 for 4 weeks.

    • Me too. My previous one was $50, and I completed it. I'm not sure that I'll complete this one.

      • +3

Yea, same. I found it a bit difficult to spend $50 a week with Coles the last time. Wish it was cumulative over the week instead of $50 in one shop. I have already stocked up on Milo, pasta sauce and toilet paper the last time. Lol.

        • -1

u didnt buy anything that u needed to return? ;)

          • @bohn: Thanks for the tip. If I get desperate, I might try that. ;D

          • @bohn: If you buy and return, then would it not violate and cause you to lose the points? Curious…

            • -4

@welcomeUniverseWorld: you need to return without a receipt.
they give you a store credit card.

            • @welcomeUniverseWorld: No, their system is not that smart. You can return with a receipt so it goes to your card. Also coles tends to be reluctant to allow u to return without a receipt, unlike woolies.

              • @truetypezk: I think if you return a Coles own brand stuff they accept it without a receipt. They do offer a money back if not satisfied. And it's not like you've brought it from Woolies.

              • +1

@truetypezk: the flybuys info is on the receipt, they are meant to reverse that. they can enter it manually or ask for your card to be scanned.

        • +1

You can top up opal card to reach spend the threshold.

          • -1

@highdealer: im surprised this worked? have you actually done this? i would've thought all Opal loopholes were closed.

            • +1

@CheapskateQueen: Last time I tried to return they asked for the receipt AND the flybuys card used to make the purchase. They're onto it.

              • @Tafe: If they don't ask for the receipt then couldn't someone buy something that's half price at safeway, full price at coles and make money?

            • +1

@CheapskateQueen: It’s woolies that don’t give points for Opal.

Coles advertise in their stores to scan flybuys when topping up to get points.

I’ve done this many times and always get the points.

            • @CheapskateQueen: Don't forget to use the 5% gift card purchased from Suncorp app.

      • yeh dont think u get any points for partially completing it either (like the last one).

  • $100/week - didn't activate

    • +3

      Mine is $90, I didn't activate neither.

      From $70…

used to be $60 for many times.

    • +1

Mine is $140/week. I shop at Coles regularly. Last year I didn't shop for a few months and the qualifying amount dropped to $60/week for the same 10k points.

  • +1

Mine is 50, another account is 60.

  • +1

    Mine is

Choose 20 POINTS or 10 cents off per litre when you fill up at Shell Coles Express!

    • Just log in to your flybuys account and see… sometimes email receive bit later

    • I got both. You can receive both at the same time

  • Meh. Mine is spend $110. I'm lucky if I spend this every fortnight.

  • +1

    $70 here

  • Mine is 10,000 points for $170/week. I will make it easily.

    • Wow you should get three cards and split up your groceries so you can get triple the points.

      • +1

Yes I should probably do that.

        • +1

          Agree with nightelves.
I only have 2 atm and it really does keep your spends lower.
And the potential added benefit of purchasing multiple giftcards as they normally limit to one per household.

      • Wait, you can get multiple cards?

        • Wait you mean you didn’t know?

          • @nightelves: How does that work?

            • @gilbarc: I have 5. Must not be subsidiary accounts. The same home address but different email address. When you get them, if you do not use your real birthday keep record of it as sometimes you have to use it to prove id.

              • @Yola: real name or fake?

                • @gilbarc: Names of family members and fake. I keep a written record of details and logins. I also try to use different egiftcards with each account. I know that in the past I have used the same cc for shopping with different accounts and it has not been a problem but if they want to audit some time they could, I think, if you use the same cc for all.

                  • +1

@Yola: Yes they do record CC details as associated with accounts

                    • @King Tightarse: Thank you. I suspected this would be the case so they may have the ability to audit and deactivate duplicate accounts. Nor sure they would want to. But I follow my strategy just in case. It helps that egift cards now do not expire for 3 years. Do you have any other useful info? You can private message me, if you wish.

                      • @Yola: Hi no insider info sorry. I read that buried deep in their terms and conditions.
It's best to use separate cards matched to different accounts or another way to go is disposable Visa cards which are available from tme to time

                        • +1

@King Tightarse: Yes I use diffrent egiftcards from Suncorp or prezzee.

                  • @Yola: my cat has an account.

                    • @bohn: Does he/she buy lots of cats food?

              • @Yola: How to claim the discount? I registered for a new card under my son, used a fake birthday, and now I forgot what it is. Also I forgot the pin number. Is there hope of claiming the discount?

                • @Panini: Do you mean you have some points in that account? If not create a new one. Otherwise if you can still log in change the first name to a female and call them or if you cannot log in/do not want to change it get your son to call. Be friendly but sound confused and they may correct the birth date, after all people do make mistakes. This did work for me one time. But I have read horror stories on Product Review about how people send in copy of drivers licence and still have problems. I must say I have not had major problems as described there. Like I said above you must keep a written record. Also I think it is not well known that flybuys points can expire if you do not collect or redeem them at least once a year.

                  • @Yola: I got the "spend $60 for 4 weeks and get $50 off your shop" in this account. Do I need a pin to get the $50 off my next shop?

  • On one - 80/week for 4 weeks . Previously was 50/week.hmmm for 10,000 poihts
    On another- 160/week.(really?)- $&@!$
On another- just scan in two places (kmart, coles) and get 500points

    • I got the scan one .. can I literally just scan them or do I have to buy something it is not clear.

      • Hmm very good question.I was planning of buying a kitkat :)

  • What is lowest anyone seen this to be?

    • +1

      $50 is the lowest.

      • So a potential discount of 25%!

        • 20% or less, because the minimum grocery spend is $250
Very good value if you have the $50

          • +1

@King Tightarse: Mine is $50 a week for 4 weeks for 10,000 points.
            Minimum spend is $200??

I'd save up the flybuys points for when I need it.

I've recently had spend $40 a week for 3 weeks for 6000 points, stacked with an offer at same time, spend $50 in on shop for 2000 points.

I only shop at Cole's when I get these sort.of deals or offers.

            • +1

@Spending2Much: For four spends of $50, you get an extra $50. So you get $250 worth of stuff for $200, so a 20% discount.

  • Mine is $60 per shop. That's not too hard to meet for us (we're a family of two).

    • +1

Just make sure you do not go over or they will increase.

      • +1

I noticed that happened on another account- sticking to your minimum is excellent advice Yola.

        • +2

Thanks. You can just use another account card for anything over. Do not worry about the dirty looks from the person behind. In fact when someone start cueuing behind me I often say I am going to be while as I am using a gift card, especially at woollies, so then they cannot complain if they stay in the cue behind me.

  • Mine is $60, completed the 3 week $50 recently.

  • why mine is $150 not good at all

  • When it gets to $240 and above, in my experience you actually get more points than 10,000. My last one was 4 x $240 for 12,000. I think I had a $260 shop for 4,000 points for 1 week once.

    • +2

In reality you could potentially be getting 40k points instead of 12,000 if your grocery was split across 4 cards.

      • +1

I have two cards now. Letting my primary one cool down while I ramp up the secondary one.

  • Mine is $60, but currently on $50 4 weeks at woolies, completed 2 weeks, 2 weeks clash, I will activate it, I can always buy meat and poultries and freeze them. Good deal

    • Steggles chickens are $2.90 kg in Vic till next Tue.

  • My crappy offer is $220 p/week x 4. Not that it is that hard when nappies can be stockpiled

  • +1

Just came off $40/wk for 3 weeks for 6000pts, got in a bonus 1000 for $50 spend in one week. Just started a Woolies 4 x $50/wk for 10000pts. Mine is 4 x $60/wk for 10000pts, will have to pass.

  • $170 per week for 4 weeks - I'll let go this time…

  • How do they decide the amount? I also got $90 but last time I checked I don't have a family of 6! Husband and I average maybe $50 a week max, and have never done the previous 4-week offers which were lower because we couldn't spend that much either!

    • Crikey, $50 a week on groceries? It's just me and the dog and we'd spend $100+ at least.

    • It depends on how much you normally buy. If you don’t buy a lot or don’t use offers mich it’ll be lower. If you’re a regular it’ll be higher. They only want to draw customers in.

  • Can we join this now, and still be 'targetted' .
I'm not a coles member or whatever, but I would join just for this perk.

    • You need to sign up for flybuys. You might not get this offer, but soon enough you'll get one.

    • Sign up for 2 accounts. Only spend under $50 on one or each.

  • Mine is $60/week for 4 weeks. Activated. Thanks OP.

  • Mine is $100 per week but I can spread over multiple shops (ending Sunday each week)

  • people who get baited to spend more on these, you go get em!

  • +1

Mine has gone down to $60 from $70, I'm waiting until it gets down to $50 before I do it again.

  • :( I got 500 points for scanning at two flybuys retailers?

  • Bugger, I am still doing the Woolies $100 x 4 weeks for 15,000 points offer, no way I can do Coles $100 x 4 weeks at the same time!

  • -1

If you're in nsw and near a coles opal top up place. This may help.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/437052

  • Mine $140 not bothered if $50 I would

  • My latest deal is get 500 points to spend $90 on ebay.

Nothing I need from Ebay. So I won't activate.

Sorry for going off topic now - but I'd like to know if anyone has tried this.

I've linked my Ebay with Flybuys, but if I go via the qantas shopping mall page, will it allow me to get both?

I've received notification from a purchase I made a few weeks ago that qantas points are coming, but I know flybuys says it can take quite a long time for it to propagate through, will it work?

    • +1

You can get both, yes. I've done it several times with Velocity eStore (or previously cashback websites) and Flybuys.

  • When are we supposed to receive the points?

I completed the spend requirements yesterday but no $50 off in my account.

With Woolworths, the discount is available as soon as the promotion ends.

    • Points are issued immediately once the fourth week spend is processed at the register. It will show up on your receipt. Contact Flybuys if you haven't got yours yet.

      • It shows up on the receipt, but generally not into your Flybuys account until later the next day. At least that was the case for me checking frequently using the app.

  • The lady I spoke to said that when I spend $50 I will receive $50 off…

    • If that's the option you selected, then yes.
