  • Not a bad promo. Better than the Qantas cards that are doing triple QFF points for the month of Feb.

  • I have to spend $2000 for $50.

Email address above looks suspicious. Sure this is not a fishing email?

    got $50 for $1500, measly 3.33% cashback
    No thanks

  • If you buy supermarket gift cards at 5% discount, total discount will be 8.33%, which is not bad.

  • Citibank is the credit provider for Coles Mastercards, so this deal is similar to Spend $1500 on Citi Rewards Platinum Credit Card & Receive a $100 Digital Gift Card

    • I also have a citibank platinum card, but didn't get that offer. However I do use that card more often than the Coles MC, guess that's why I wasn't targeted for the other one

  • Have the Coles MC, don't use it a lot but haven't received an offer it seems

    I got $50 for $3000. Pathetic offer.

    i got

Collect flybuys TRIPLE POINTS on all eligible spend on your Coles No Annual Fee Mastercard between 1 February 2019 and 28 February 2019.

    • Same here.

  • This one is useless
Some previous Flybuys have been great - $160? eg spend at Liquorland - $50 back

  • Curious for those using this as a backup card, why? Isnt the earn rate on this better than other credit cards? I would switch my spending to this card when I don't have a sign up spend to achieve on another credit card. Am i missing something?

    • Earn rate for what? If you're talking about converting Flybuys into Velocity then no it's not better than other cards.

I only use this card on items that I think I could potentially claim price protect insurance on.

      • fb points to $10 off next shop

        • 2000 FB = $10 off which means 1 FB point is worth 0.5c. Whereas if you transfer 2000 FB points to Velocity during a 15% promotion you'll get 1000 Velocity points. If you redeem Velocity on premium flights then you'll get anywhere from 4-8c per point value of Velocity points, or 2-4c value per FB point. That's 4 to 8x the value of redeeming for $10 off your next shop.

But in terms of earning points, for every $ you're spending, you're effectively earning 0.5 Velocity points assuming the 15% bonus. There are better cards out there that have a higher earn rate. Minimum decent earn rate is 0.75c per $ which you can get on ANZ Travel Adventures for example.
