That's for ATM and international benefits. Account keeping fees are free

    • +3

I’ll keep your account for no extra cost as long as there’s $1k in there deposited every month

  • I was offered $10

ING can go and get …

Getting rid my my mortgage rebate & cashback on PayPass plus several interest rate increases despite RBA not increasing rates. Oh and to top it off increasing annual fee on my mortgage.

They can shove their $5, I won’t use them for anything more than my mortgage until I can change banks

I’ve just refinanced for the reasons you’ve mentioned and they called me to offer the cheapest interest rate on their website. But, it’s too late and now I am with the new lender. Do the switch and show them that we mean what we say

I just got an email telling me to use it but didn't offer the $5. Must be targeted.

Pretty underwhelming considering Westpacs and suncorps 50$ reward

    • +2

That's a sign-up bonus though. This is for existing customers.

I guess ING already knows I make 5x 1c Apple Pay transactions a month. I might have to switch to using the card.

    • +5

That must be it. I use beemit (debit card) to satisfy 5 transactions between my and wife card. Net spend $0. Joint account so money doesn’t leave.

  • //10 for me

  • I didn’t get any emails and I haven’t paid with ING on Apple Pay before. I had already added ING to Apple Pay last month which might be why?

    • I had Apple Pay already setup too (and used previously - rarely - last time in August)

  • Hey forumninja, what method (in ApplePay) do you use to only spend 1 Cent x 5? I usually go to shop and buy $1 popcorn x 5 to satisfy the 5 transaction rule. Thanks.

    • +2

split transaction at colesworth most likely

  • I use it everyday from my Apple Watch but I don't get any offer :(

  • Apple PayING.

    Done.

    That'll be $5 thanks.

  • I got an email today to get $10

I use Apple Pay, surprised people are getting offered less!

    • How often did you already use Apple Pay with ING? Did you also use the plastic ING Visa debit card?

I average around 6 iPhone/Watch transactions per month and wasn't targeted. I can't remember the last time I pulled the actual plastic card out of my wallet.

I assumed this promotion was a bribe to get non-Apple Pay users to add ING to Apple Pay and try using it over plastic.

Interesting that (some) existing Apple Pay users are also rewarded.

      • I use my plastic card most of the time, but in the last couple of months, I’ve maybe used my Apple Watch more frequently, perhaps 8 times in the past month because of my new Apple Watch. I would have thought that they would assume I am an Apple Pay user. But $10 for me!

  • Why am I not being targeted :(

  • +4

Oh boy. I'm going to pretend I did the promotion and got the free $0.

With all the rebates and good stuff gone only good thing left about ING is Isla Fisher.

    ING can keep their money.

    Apple is Evil Corp!

  • I received this email for the month of March. Use Apple Pay 5 times before March 31 2019 and receive $5. Did not get offered this in February.
