The Aussie way is to use Turmeric.

    • Haha that's cheating!

I snort turmeric to get high.

        • +1

          I once snorted cayenne pepper…

Btw people do not go snorting turmeric you'll regret it, just Google it to find out why.

    Bought 1. Cheers.

    • Appreciated! Happy Aus Day

  • Cheaper on eBay with multiple stores offering 5g for around $25.

    https://ebay.us/dz4hAx

    • Thanks for the comment. They pricing according to us. And we can't see a photo of their saffron and its quality. They have used stock photos. All respect to them though, they are living to make a living like all of us.

      • If you reduce your price to less than $25 I’ll make a purchase. I have bought from your store before and in my honest opinion I wouldn’t rate your saffron any better than some of the other saffron being sold on eBay and from other online stores.

        • Thank you for the feedback. The majority of our customers would disagree with you on the quality. We wish you'd reach out to us if you weren't happy with our saffron.

There is not much margin to "just reduce it" so everyone is happy, because there will always be someone selling a product with cheaper price advertising it for high quality.

            @Saffron-Store: Thanks for the response.
With regards to quality, I didn’t find it to be as an intense flavour as other brands of saffron I have purchased (2017). Furthermore your website lists the saffron as Grade 1 as per ISO 3632 but has this been independently tested and certified?

Unless you have changed your labelling since I last bought your product, there was no mention of weight on your labels. Neither on the packaging or on the container. I had no idea of what item I received in the post.

            • @gamemaster: Are you sure you bought it from our website? Non of what you said is correct about us. But thank you for the comments. If you need anything please reach us through emails.

              • @Saffron-Store: Of course I am sure I bought from your online store. I have the email with my order confirmation right in front of me!
I am also sure that your product didn’t come with the weight labelled on it. I had to weigh it myself using scales.

In any case can you please confirm:
                1. Your product is certified grade 1 by independent testing to ISO 3632
                2. Your products now have the weight labelled on the packaging.

                • @gamemaster: Yes always. And yes always.

                  • @Saffron-Store: Where can we see the certificate of certified grade 1 product to ISO 3632? It’s not on the webstore. Thanks.

@gamemaster: This Looks good - works out at $5.60 a gram, I buy my grade a Iranian for $3.60 a gram but then I buy a chit load!

    • +3

No, but I'm in for a group hug.

      • +2

Maybe Rep can give you 50 hugs for double the price?

        • +4

Only if it's 50 Iranians doing the hugging.

          — Patiently waits while JV searches for a meme or YouTube video of 50 Iranians hugging.

Ad is misleading. There are lost of Ebay stores selling for cheaper price. Why would you have to compare with Coles and Woolworths?

Like saying tomato $1 per kilo and Coles sells it $20/kg (Salad ones of course)

    • +4

Why would you have to compare with Coles and Woolworths?

It's called deceptive and misleading advertising…

      • +2

I've already contacted A Current Affair.

        • +2

I think this calls for a Ray Martin special report…

    • We are a commercial company and we compare ourselves with a commercial business. On eBay there are lots of people that have a couple of packs of saffron and as a business you can never compete with them. They way you can’t be sure of the customer service and quality.

      • +1

All good, but come on… at least compare to Persian/Afghan supermarket prices. They are the same if not cheaper. The label says '1st grade sargol', which is good. I did my shopping the other day at an Iranian supermarket and the guy threw in a packet of these for free. Not expecting you to do the same but that comparison makes no sense and misleading/misplaced. They are all businesses and selling it within your price range at a physical shop.

    Thanks bought one too.

    • Awesome! Thank you :)
