They are in stock for me at Midland, Armadale and Gosnells store.

  • Same set I think but with stock for pick up

    • This one is imperial.

      • Can u explain the difference? U can still use it right?

        • Imperial bolts/nuts are not common here most cars here in Australia use metric fasteners. Unless you work on American V8s they are metric.
The sizes will be in inches and not mm some sizes are similiar but heaps won't work.

    Thanks OP!
I ordered the metric set, says it’s available at my local SCA on the Gold Coast
    Cheers

  • Do them come with slim ones?

    • +1

impact are usually thicker and single hex to take the forces of air tools.

if you need thin walled it’s back to normal hand tool sockets.

i had similar problems with axle nut on my car …needed thin walled socket.

Got both imperial and metric. Will need a compressor now… :)

    • I've never used one, but electric rattle guns exist. Perhaps worth considering? Looks a lot cheaper than a compressor, and you won't ever have to purge it.

      Example for $129: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/240v-12-electric-impact-wrench-…

Air tools tend to be smaller so is useful for tight spots. But no issues with rotating tyres. There's also 18v cordless impact wrenches.

      • @Russ thanks… will try these with my cordless impact driver. But it's a small hex head cordless one. Think will need something bigger.

I have a Milwaukee impact driver, get the half inch adapter and it takes wheel nuts off no issue.

          • @AndyRoo: I guess it's something like this… Link

Hard to imagine these things can take the stress of the impact gun. Also if my Makita's chuck would hold up.

@megadeth: Yeah mate, but go to total tools and get the Milwaukee ones. They are cheap enough, and they will surprise you. They RIP the nuts off my patrol without trying. Just dont use a extension or anything with them, directly into your impact driver.

            • +2

@megadeth: I've got a set of those from Irwin, and the bosch blue I've used them with hasn't missed a beat.

I have these and have flogged them for two years or so. There's very little evident wear. I've missed the $10 deal but they've still very cheap at $25. My Repco set was $150+ and isn't better quality.

    I'm ordering 2 sets @ $25. Cheers OP.

    • Yeah I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality on three. Crazy good!
