    dont waste your money.

    • ???

    • why is it a waste of money?

      • -5

The entire concept is based on flim-flam and bullshit, that's why.

        • +2

Ignorant comment. Do a lot of people overstate their protein needs? Yes. Is it better to get it from 'real' foods? Probably.

Protein powders are still a great supplement if used right.

          • +5

@Merlict: I have nothing against protein powders.

Just ones that are crap and claim BS on their labels.

              Summarized.

              • @[Deactivated]: Honestly be a better label if they printed it like this.

                Love your work

          • @Merlict: Ignorant response, we are talking about a company whose " independent laboratory tests" turned out to be a lab that was owned by the chief crap-artists father. Few who are using this "supplement" are doing so under the guidance of a dietitian, tho they may be putting good money after bad by listening to a " nutritionist".

The only relevant reference here would be to Festinger…

A rebuttal would have involved a peer reviewed study showing the benefits of this overpriced hype over and above [say] milk/milk-powder and kelp. Good luck with that.

        • I'm pretty sure most people want it for the cheap protein not the other benefits it claims to have

    • You work there?

    • Great advice generally. Could you explain how it relates to this post and suggest good value alternatives?

  • Awesome, i got this one last deal. It is one of the best proteins i have tried, tastes pretty close to Milo. I normally have ON's double choc and actually prefer this taste and for $29, bargain!

    • Have you tried bulk nutrients protein?

    • +1

When you say best proteins you have tried does this mean deliciousness or building muscle mass?

      • deliciousness. Have tried heaps over the years. As far as building muscle? the protein content is there, unless some sort of independant lab testing is done on all the brands then you have no way of testing the quality.

No protein is going to build muscle mass. It will help but its only part of the puzzle and is a great alternative to eating mass amounts of steak, chicken etc a day. Although according to the extremely knowledgable winners above its just flim flam bullshit and dont waste your money :)

    • +1

Tastes close to milo has me worried. Considering how much of milo is sugar.

      • Personally I don't think it tastes anything like milo, would be good if it did

      • lol and double extreme choc, Salted caramel, cheesecake etc and all the other exotic sounding flavours brands come out with dont worry you?

  • Good price and free delivery……but you certainly won’t enjoy :)

    • +1

why, whats wrong with this product?

      • +2

Comes down to personal preference really, I just wasn’t a fan of the flavour nor were a few of my mates who tried it.

        • +1

Not sure if they taste exactly the same, but I had the WPI double choc and would it's one of the better tasting WPI I have tried.

Have also tried bulk nutrients, VPA, pure products plus a few other smaller brands.

  • Got this last time without the free delivery (had to spend $2 to get up to $60 free delivery). Product is fine, drinkable and mixes pretty well.

  • Anyone with experience of this and the vital strength total+, how does it compare? I've found the total+ allows me to take in enough protein a day when training without excess cholesterol from meat protein, and it has worked for me, but this seems very good value.

    • I grabbed some in the chocolate flavour and I rate it much nicer than the Pure Warrior. This is great value and you may well find the taste fine.

  • Save your money and stick to VPA and BN. This stuff tastes has a really off chemical taste to it. Ordered two tubs last time it got posted on OZB and really regret it im struggling to drink it.

    • +1

You should've got a milkshake from maccas if you wanted something good to drink.

    • Personal preference really, I have tried all before - this one (but WPI double choc, unsure if taste is different to this), VPA Choc and Bulk nutrients Choc.

VPA and BN taste just alright (close to horrible) but this WPI double choc tastes the best.

  • How do I get free shipping to work ? Still shows $8.95 shipping

    • Listing shows free shipping but didn’t go to checkout page to verify. Looks like they are charging for shipping.. :(

    • +3

You can get free shipping also by buying @ MyChemist and using the coupon "FS7824" if CW isn't giving free shipping.

      • Thanks mate.. will add into OP

      • +1

Purchased 2. Free shipping. Need $50 for free shipping. Cheers.

  • Looks like most of the Pure Warrior line has sold out in their catalogue sale.

These deals have been posted previously - the WPI was selling for $35.99 from memory and no longer coming up on the web site - I grabbed some of those. Have more than a year's supply now, so all set. The pre-workout also gives a decent jolt if energy is needed!

    Post from last month: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/425265

    • Half way through they were marked as clearance. Not sure for what reason.

      • Maybe Swisse has decided not to endorse further - or licensing fees arrangement for use of their brand expired? Or perhaps re-branding and getting rid of the old look stock?

  • Can I use this to gain quick weight (i.e. fat)?

    • No.

    • Yes. Everything unused and not expelled will be stored as fat.

  • +1

Ah, my old code is back again!

    FS7824

I think it's had more comeback tours than Johnny Farnham now!

    • Yeah but this time it works only on MyChemist site:)

      • Ok, but it's the same company anyway :)

        also ePharmacy

  • need more protein but on the fence about the taste, anyone else that hasn't already commented tried it?

    • +1

I got it last time, flavour is fine - not sure what everyone is on about. I also mix it into muesli balls which I snack on, and they have come up well with the flavour.

Note that I have it with milk, not water - might not go so well with water, so can't comment on that.

  • Product No longer Available

    • Just hit the report button and click 'Expired' if a deal is over mate.

  • Still a few of these in store, bought one today and tried it, it's the same as my current (vital strength total+). Taste is fine, none of these are bought for their flavour, it's basically Milo milk chocolate plus protein! I'll buy a couple more tomorrow and that'll have me set for several months!
