My main intention in posting here is "price matching with office works"
Doesnt it need to be the exact same model for OW to price match?
Yup! I purchased a grey import S3 Frontier and had a hard time trying to get Samsung Pay to work due to the different region on the watch.
Did you try the instructions found in this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/9nw6s0/tip_cha…).
Doesn't look that hard to change the region. Though, would have thought Samsung would have added a more user-friendly way of doing it. Given people travel and all.
I ended up using the instructions posted on xdadevelopers (similar to the reddit link you posted), it just took me a while to find them. It really should be more user-friendly and be part of the settings.
OW won't price match anything from tobydealsau as tobydealsau is not located in AU and their stock is not AU stock.
Even though they're the same model and there's no mention in the OW price match that the store needs to be located in AU. So, I wouldn't waste time trying to get OW to price match any store that is not located in AU or sources their products from overseas - regardless of whether the item is identical or not.
This isn't just TobysdealsAU-related. It's a blanket rule they have in place. Kinda dumb really. I wanted to price match Amazon AU on a Samsung T5 SSD a couple of months back for $175 (I needed it in a hurry). OW refused to price match cos it was coming from Amazon US & is US stock. 2 week's later, the standard price for that T5 SSD was ~$145.
Apparently they changed their restrictions recently and will price match overseas stores/grey import store for the same item (This isn't really the same so they may not price match)
I just called them up and the lady said that the item was located in HK and shipped from HK. And they only price match items that are located and sourced from local distributors.
Every time you speak to someone at OW, you get a different response.
Good luck to OW in clearing out these outdated stock later on down the track.
I think it depends how you dela with service manager there. For me they price matched (note 9) with tobydealsau.com.
If someone gets OW to PM can you post receipt?
Noob question: since these smart watches work on bluetooth, can smart phones also connect to car bluetooth (or any other bluetooth speaker/headphones) as well as always connected to smart watch? Or you need to manually switch between smart watch and other BT device?
yes it will connect to both
It can connect to both
OW dont price match anymore EglobalCentral or TobyDeals. I called them last week to price match Samsung Galaxy Watch which is for $367 on EglobalCentral and after taking 10 minutes, the rep told that it's not local stock and grey import. Both sites are blacklisted in OW database. If someone can and have recently price matched with both sites, do a receipt share.
Their t + c do not exclude this, i have read and re read, does not say anything about where it comes from, as long as same item.. so i do not understand how they can say no.. i.e. same model etc their section on what does not meet the requirements, on the surface at least does not exclude this item
They had it on sale for $298 up until end of December. What they have left is just leftover stock.
If their staff don't want to get rid of the remaining stock at a clearance price and want to just write-off the remaining stock completely later down the line. Let them be.
Yep true.. i was about to buy one from jb as have xmas gift card etc, but then price went up that very day i had of course also fogotten my gift cards
Don't know how likely that is, but I'd consider it an issue.
