These rarely go on special. They are much better than the standard heat beads as they are made from 100% wood. They burn just as long and hot but taste so much better. Online only, buy 5 bags to click and collect :D

Lol
The original is made from coal out of the ground, this is made from wood chips….
The original is full of additives and binding agents, these only claim to be 100% natural, likely compressed sawdust.

Never tried, not sure if any good.
Thanks op got two bags
Usually use the heatbeads lump charcoal and cocoshells but I might give these a go.
Does anyone know if bunnings will price match?
This type not available at Bunnings
In store they were $8 each as well at Epping VIC
I prefer these to the red ones except if I'm using the snake method in my basic Weber kettle; I find them to burn a bit inconsistently and as a result I've forever fiddling with the vents. With the red ones in a snake I probably only adjust a handful of times in a 12 hr cook. Not sure why the difference.
As mentioned these are $8 in store currently. I've used the entire range of beads available at woolies and these are the best - no plastic/fuel smell when they're going. They're a little smokey but give a great heat.
I never understand the difference btw and the original.. how can charcoal be made of wood?
