Nokia 8 for $339 or $329 if you haven’t purchased from TobyDeal before and use the code WELCOME. I just bought one. Seems it’s only Copper that is this price.

Correct, added it to the title.
The copper model looks very nice. I bought a silver from a similar grey import site a few months ago, and it's a great phone. Don't think there's anything out there with the same specs at this price point.
Great, phone, I got it;
- Great display (IPS, no bleed)
- Great battery life
- Great camera (I expect this is due to updated software)
- Great build quality
- No bloatware (expect Google's stuff which every Android phone has)
Although the bottom and top bezels make it very comfortable to use and they are only about the size of the iPhone 8+, I would prefer if they had been smaller
Oh, one thing to note is the phone is very slim, the pictures just don't do it justice
Not sure that the camera is that great, I'm just using the default camera app, it's not as good as current flagships.
However I did have a Samsung S9 and after smashing the screen have gone to this phone, and everything else is honestly comparable with the >$1k phone. Plus the dual sim is super awesome!Current flagships are nowhere near <350 mark its not a good comparison
Why would you compare this to flagships??? Please consider its price and show some mercy.
Honestly in every other way I think it's comparable to flagships (I don't game on it so can't comment there). I was just trying to say don't buy it expecting the world out of the camera.
@reubenb87: Can you explain the issues you have with the camera? Got any comparisons photos? I only ask this bcos I think people tend to allow themselves to be easily swayed by review sites with possible hidden agendas
Edit: I did notice photos where a little dark however I just adjusted the camera app settings, also has duo camera and the best audio recording quality for a phone!
@[Deactivated]: Dual camera is such a gimmick. Images not sharp with slightest of movements. Forget taking photos on windy days. Also slow to focus on default dual mode so taking photos of my children is a harder than it needs to be. Would have preferred one good quick lens/ camera.
@[Deactivated]: Sorry no comparison shot as I broke the other phone before this one. I find it slow to focus, which to get pictures of kids is always resulting in blurry shots. That's probably my mine gripe.
Agree with you. Camera is functional but not great!
You should install Google camera app ported for Nokia 8. The image quality is awesome compared to the default one.
@tadinhah is there one specifically you recommend? I have found Google lens but nonspecific Google camera app.
Found it. Thanks!
How is it compare with Nokia 7 Plus? 8 is even cheaper.
Pro:better hardware
Con:no Android oneOK Thanks.
Also not 18:9 screen, what is the latest version of Android on it? The spec said 7.1.1
Android 9 update has just been released for it.
The 8 is last gen, Nokia 8 Sirocco is the current generation for the 8 series.
On a technical level they are equal, same SoC, RAM
Sirocco has 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, OLED screen, wireless charging, bigger battery, Android One.
@dazweeja: Well, yeah if you wanna get all technical :-D
Good call, definitely upgraded areas there
I will say the Nokia 8 is on a newer version of Android despite not being Android One
@[Deactivated]: Android Pie just started rolling out yesterday for the Sirocco actually:

In reality, Nokia's OS is pretty close to stock Android anyway. Android One does give you guaranteed OS updates for 2 years though.
The size of Nokia 7 Plus is bigger. I bought Nokia 8 because I think it is easier to carry. It is a very good phone.
just fyi nokia 9 is coming in 2-3 months.
with FIVE cameras at the back!!!fifth camera is to x-ray you from inside like airport scanners, now you decide if you want five camera phone
Nokia haven't been able to compete properly with the flagships in phones with cameras for a while only.
I honestly think this five camera business is just a gimmick, Google proves this with its single camera prowess on the Pixel + computational photography.
LG proves that 2 cameras are better than one with all their recent flagships. Ultrawide all the way
I thought it was for the rectal examination. TSA certified.
with FIVE cameras at the back!!!
Did you read that in The Onion?
But with SEVEN holes.
Only 5? I'm holding out until they hit double digits.
any more comments on this phone? NFC+Dual sims and Compass?
Will officeworks pricematch it?
They will match if they have ABN but OW didn't have this model.
Officeworks don’t stock it anymore, phoned up yesterday and no stores have stock left in the country.
Dont feel bad i phoned a month ago and they had none back then
i believe Officeworks are not dual sims….Australia stock are single sims, i be surprise if they price match
If only they had an ebay store after filling up on the POWPOW 15% off deal.
Any news on Android One for Nokia 8?
Has anyone put the GCam Port on this? If so, how is it?
this is probably not the right forum to discuss modding phones.
OzB'ers are more interested in getting stuff cheap!Would have thought the potential to significantly improve picture quality on what is a budget phone would be very interesting to a prospective buyer.
I have read that using different apps improves the performance. I own this phone, but absolutely ignorant of cameras in phones on general.
It seems a variant has been ported, I’ll give it a go and report back once the phone arrives.
Be careful buying from here, have been stung in the past. They listed all the right frequencies on a phone I bought, but then shipped an EU model that doesn't do half the frequencies we use out here, which made it pretty useless.
Did you send it back or complain? What happened
Nah I read their returns policy, and saw that I technically wouldn't be covered (it's pretty restrictive.) Even if it was, it was going to be at my expense and it just wasn't worth it for a $350 phone. Lesson learned and move on.
Classic not as described situation.
Many sellers now accidentally??? list phones incorrectly on purpose. Even pretend Australian sellers that drop ship.
TRS claimable?
Bought same phone from eglobal (owned by the same people) and the invoice had $0 GST on it. Asked for an invoice with GST declared and they wouldn't do it - so couldn't claim TRS.
Thanks
This or pocophone?
Poco no band 28 no NFC no android one pie …..
This doesn't have Android One either.
Strange that, I thought being their flagship and a launch phone, and with nokia being pretty on the ball they would be moving this to android one?
@Jackson: I don't think you 'move' a phone to Android One.
Wouldn't that be like 'moving' a diesel car to be electric?@bmerigan: It was widely (mis)reported (it seems) that nokia was going to include a number of their previously non android one phones in their android one program e.g. https://nokiamob.net/2018/02/26/nokia-3-5-6-and-8-will-join-…
Apart from that android one is purely software, so its nothing like changing an engine in a car. Nokia could do it tomorrow if they wanted.
As it stands they have been pretty good with updates for the nokia 8 and it runs a pretty clean OS so some of the benefits associated with android one are to a degree available anyway.
@Jackson: both moto and xiaomi have the same phone hardware running their skinned version of android and also an android one version of the same phone, in xiaomi it was the a1.
i have the nokia 7 plus and we also have a nokia 6.1 and it’s nice getting timely updates, the idea was with treble compliance that hardware would be abstracted so that google could eventually do some of the android updating and phone manufacturers just wrote and updated “ drivers”.
pie is the first version where where android one phones had to be FULLY treble compliant, with nougat it was optional .
time will tell how the architecture takes off.
Hi, Good deal and thanks for posting. This link I believe is for the same phone. If so this is a better deal isn't it? Anyone know if this is a reliable seller?
https://www.eglobalcentralau.com/nokia-8-4gb-ram-64gb-dual-s…EGlobal's shipping $15, so total delivered price is $339.
OP has price of $329 delivered for new customers. Thanks
Looks like the code WELCOME also works with eglobal but only gives $6 off instead of $10, plus the $15 shipping making it $333 useful if you already bought something from TobyDeals before I suppose. (or if you worship the devil and want to buy two with two separate email accounts?)
"railspider" post said they are the same people
They are grey imported, right?
