      LOL. There are actual spiders about 30cm - south america's goliath bird-eater, and asia's giant huntsman. biggest spider must be the only spider record australia doesn't have.

  I'm also an arachnophobe, but I have done some self exposure therapy by looking at macro photographs. At that magnification, all species are actually quite magnificent if still terrifying. But the family known as jumping spiders are actually adorable! Seeing them so enlarged has made me almost no longer afraid of those particular spiders when i come across them in the house and garden. And has made me want to buy this cushion. If you feel brave one day, type 'macro jumping spider' into google.
