Need to wait for 20% off.

  • It is one of the best prices you will have on this model. The cheapest I saw was $2400.

I got it before the Boxing Day for $2600 there. Its normal price is plus $3400.

This model Q7 and Q9 only, have the One Connector Box which is awesome, remote control and One Cable Connection replacement for free within the first 3 months after purchase, Samsung 50% off peace of mind in case YOU damage the TV. Free installation if you need. 2 free technical inspection to see if the TV healthy is okay.

It is an awesome TV, watching or playing 4K on it out of this world. Have fun :)

10 Bit Native Panel, only edge-lit though.

I would consider the Sony X90 (10 Bit, Full Array Backlit) or an Oled for a couple hundred more (when on sale)

    • Especially with the b8 hitting around 2.8k

  • Noticed this in the catalog. JB is being honest in the description of a different TV. #OLED #BRUTAL

  • +4

Sony TVS are running Android and they have lag problems. OLED TVs have the problem with a bright room and screen burn-in. OLED is not recommended for gamers

    • +3

OLED is only bad if you watch the same content all the time with static banners. I have played over 100hrs of RDR2 on mine with no signs of burn-in from the map or health icon.

      • Sure. It is personal. I don't wanna pay huge money for a TV that is beautiful, amazing but has a physical issue.
Also, my apartment is damn bright, you cannot have an OLED in a bright room or you won't see its quality and you get pissed hahaha

        • If its damn bright any QLED will still refelect alot of the light and might not be that much of a difference. I have a 65 KS 8 series similar to the qled and its awful when theres light !!

          • @solidussnake: Disagree, sorry hahahaha
Q9 has a better light system than the Q7. Even the Q7 isn't awful at all watching at it with lights on, sunny day, etc.
But this is my experience of course :)

        • You need some curtains haha. Like you said it a personal choice. I think OLED will become the standard for TVs soon once it becomes for affordable and refined.

        • I don't understand this point.. re bright room.

The overwhelming majority watch most their TV in the evening / night, when it's dark. Do you sit below a bunch of downlights all night or something? Plus, no window shades?

I wouldn't go near this thing when OLED price is comparable.

          • @FXx: I watch or play when it is still sunny, during the weekend, and of course at night with lights on or not. No matter the environment around me, the Hisense LED 55 I had and this QLED 65 "environment" was never a problem.

I don't wanna spend thousands on a TV that will force me to use it in a dark environment, force me to close the curtains, etc, just because otherwise I won't see its details in full. Yeahh Nahhhh

      • How often would you play RDR2 in a week would you say and how many hours straight in the one session?
Only thing putting me of about OLED is that I'm a gamer as well, never have to worry about burn in on a gaming pc or non-OLED

        • RDR2 is not the kind of the game I like haha

I am Tomb Raider, Call of Duty, Battlefield, God Of War, Horizon, Recore, Gears of War guy. As I said previously, I don't want to spend thousands and live with the fear that one day I may have a screen burn-in as a gift. You are done!
QLED might don't have the darkest black, I don't mind. Watching 4k on it, playing, is just awesome.

  • Great price for a great tv. Looks great for a ps4 pro.
    Love the one cable connection

  • I paid $2700 at Harvey Normans about 3 months ago. Think it was there average price. Best TV I have ever owned

    • The best TV I have ever had. I bought some 4k Ultra HDR Blu-ray and holy sugar oO
Youtube, Netflix, Xbox One S have a new meaning now haha

I just requested the free replacement for the one cable connection and the remote control and have them as backup. I should receive them within 2 weeks lol

      • So do you mean one set of one cable connection and remote came with the TV and you then ordered another set for free - so you have now 2? You used replacement and then back-up so its confusing what you are saying.

        • That is right. The 2018 QLED TVs that have One Connector Box — Q7 and Q9 only —- have a free One Cable Connection and Remote Control replacement WITHIN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE ONLY.

You just need to register the TV through the Samsung Care website, contact the support requesting the replacement as a backup.
You can only request one per time so I opened 2 support chats.

After 2 weeks I will have the ones that came with the TV and the ones that I requested as a backup :)

  • Can anyone advise if Sony 65 X90F or this one is better? They are at similar price now I believe. Thank you

    • imo this is better. One of the brightest tvs available despite edge lit. Best colours with this Quantum dot business.
Superior for gaming, I can report Freesync works. Does 1440p and 1080p at 120hz. Edge lit has better power efficiency, greater grey uniformity so lower banding only downside appears to be local dimming which won't affect you much anyway as the blacks are great.

      • Thank you I read a lot of review on rtings, the score are very similar between Sony x90f, Samsung q6, q7 and nu8900. The price are not so much different after sale.

I was looking at q6 at first, not sure if I should spend additional $500 for x90f or q7

        • This if you have a bright room has antireflective coat better speakers brighter and connect box.

        • Sony uses Android and that said, those TVs have delays problem. Samsung uses Tizen which is crazy fast and stable.

Q6 and Q8 don't have one connect box, only Q7 and Q9. If you have a bright room as I do, you won't have problems with Q7 as I don't have any problem. It is worth the additional plus you have remote control and One Cable Connection replacement for free within the first 3 months after purchase, Samsung 50% off peace of mind in case YOU damage the TV.

I don't know if above applies to Q6

      • Dont they still glow from the bottom and top where the leds are ?? Or have the new ones improved alot

    • +1

Q7: More colour coverage, has support for freesync, less input lag, and is HDR10+. OS is a little more snappy.
X900F: Has more accurate default colours, FALD panel so better blacks and contrast. Has better motion/scaling. Dolby Vision support which has way more content (eg. more bluray have DV, along with Netflix) than HDR10+.

      Overall:
      Q7 for gamers
      X900F for movie lovers

Can't go wrong with either… although with the X900F going for 2.2k… I would get that.

65Q6 with similar performance can be got at much lower price

      • Due to limited space on my TV bench I may consider this. Any idea what is the width of the stand?

      • -1

Q6 doesn't support external box. Only Q7 and Q9 models have the One Connection Box.
Q6 and Q8 model use the old way connecting the cables on the back of the TV.

        • +2

That’s what he’s saying. you can get the same tv without the external box for $800 less.

          • @bigosmallo: I understood as he suggesting to buy the external box hahahaha

    • Yes, nearly similar in picture quality although Q7 does have higher peak brightness and better HDR performance than Q6. But price difference is too much.

I got my 65" Q6 for $1705 C&C from Binglee last week and so far pretty happy with it.

    • Yeah, got my 65Q6 last week for just over $1700 from Appliance Central.
I can spend 200-300 extra on Q7, but couldn't justify spending more that that.
      Still waiting for my unit…

  • I’m happy with my Q6 it’s on sale under 2k just about everywhere at the moment.

  • Not sure if this should be posted separately but I just picked up a 55" Q7 QLED the other day from JB Hifi for $1880 (plus value of shipping) after getting them to price match https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/qled-tvs/qa55q7fnawxxy-s…

Incase anyone is looking for something a lil smaller/cheaper.
