Cheapest ever I believe!

I already bought one, so thought I should help others in parting ways with their beloved cash.

4K big screen picture quality takes home entertainment experiences to new heights with this Samsung Series 6 QLED smart television. Discover stunning crisp detail on its 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution screen when watching 4K Ultra HD TV shows or movies, and together with the billion plus precise colours the Quantum Dots inside the panel create, screen content looks more real than ever. Transform the TV's blank screen when turned off into a piece of art with clever Ambient Mode allowing you to display photos or even notifications. The Samsung QA65Q6FNAWXXY has a 200Hz motion refresh rate for a responsive gaming experience, along with reduced flicker in fast-paced action scenes. Stream up to 4K Ultra HD resolution content via subscription streaming apps at the Smart Hub, or HDR10 plus compatible High Dynamic Range content at Amazon Prime Video to see sharp detail in both bright and dark scenes. Besides plenty of apps to choose from, you can also activate your compatible connected 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, game console or sound bar using the included Samsung One Remote that powers them all. Plus, a clean cable management system conceals the wires from your connected devices within the TV stand so your space is uncluttered and your focus stays on-screen. And, by downloading the SmartThings app on your smartphone, you can control compatible smart devices around the home via the Q6FN TV for seamless interactions. Thanks to the 4K technology on this Samsung big screen TV, it's possible to discover big screen detail even in a smaller room.

  • Telling me there's none available :(

    • Did you try C&C? showing in stock at all Bing Lees around my area (Marsden Park, NSW).

  • assumed that would be out of delivery zone

  • How is this TV? I am looking at purchasing..

    • +2

At this price, probably the best bang for buck I dare say.

Comparable to 65" Sony X90F which is a marginally better according to some aficionados but also $600 more expensive.

      • Do you think it's worth paying the extra for the Q7?

        • +2

It's pretty subjective and I can't say for others but lets say if Q7 was about $300-350 more, I would had gladly bought it over Q6, anything more and it would lose its appeal for me.

          • @dealhunter52: Thanks mate.

          • +1

@dealhunter52: In Harvey Norman, I tried bargain for $2100 and he said he can't offer that price.
Based on your opinion, I got Q6 for $1705 instead :)

    • I bought one about a month ago. The one drawback I found was some dark scenes and (I assume) the local dimming. Occasionally it can very abruptly shift the brightness or backlighting in a whole scene when just one part of it should actually be changing. Sometimes it can go up and down multiple times in a scene and it's enough to really throw you out of the immersion. It's probably only 5-10% of dark scenes but it's pretty annoying.

I'm fairly happy with it overall but if I had my time over again I'd probably go something that doesn't have this issue. It's also rare enough that you might not notice it testing it out. Watching some white on black credits might highlight the problem.

I also think this TV may be getting discontinued, JB and Harvey Norman don't seem to have it online anymore so these deals might be the last chance to pick one up.

  • +1

Was literally deciding between this and a Sony Bravia. Went with the Bravia, picked-up today!, because of all the negative talks about Samsung's TV WiFi capability!
Not saying Samsung is shit, by any means, but something to be aware of

    • I read that too but I almost always use ethernet port on TV for internet.

    • I have had a 7 series Samsung for at least 3 years now and I never had any issues with the Wifi… then again I'm not sure what issue I'm supposed to be looking for!

  • +2

I went to Harvey Norman and got price matched ($1705).
Also, got 4 yrs warranty for $230.

In total it costed me $1,935.

Happy to share screenshot of invoice, if someone is interested.

When I went to pick up my TV earlier today, staff at Bing Lee also tried to shove that 4 yrs warranty for $230 on to me. But I had to deflect it. ACCC almost guarantees that much warranty for electrical and white goods.

      • I know everyone says this and just says consumer law and bla bla, but have you or anyone you know actually been successful in getting a replacement TV past the 3 year mark?

I agree that the extended warranty is bs and i'm a big fan of playing the consumer law card, but i haven't heard of anyone actually getting the ombudsman to rule in their favour after a few years. The annoying part is the CL (from memory last that i read it) doesn't clearly define any durations but rather "a reasonable amount of time" which is crazy subjective. I feel in the world of TV's and the such, the manufactorer will just argue that their 'puny' $2k tv wasn't built to last the same as their top of the range $5k variant and thus i don't think many would have much luck trying to get anything even after the two year mark. Anyone have any experiences?

        • +1

I actually know someone who was successful in getting a replacement TV past the 3 year mark.

My close work colleague had Youtube App on his 3.5 years old Sony TV that stopped working after an update and got an error message saying new App is not supported. He contacted Sony for a solution to the problem explaining how Youtube is so important to his wife and kids and bla bla bla. They told him to STFU as the TV is out of warranty. He referenced the ACCC consumer guarantee and threatened to go to NSW Civil Tribunal and was actually successful in getting a Upgraded Sony TV free of cost without even going to the tribunal.

  • Hi,

Could anybody please share me the copy of the receipt to [email protected]. Appreciate your help!

    • Sony A8F ni mila?

      • Samsung QA65Q6FNAWXXY - 65" Q6 QLED 4K Smart TV

        • I saw your posts other day asking for Sony 50% off voucher code for A8F OLED TV.

Anyway, My receipt won't help as it shows full amount before eBay discount. @ashm can help you out I guess.

          • @dealhunter52: Thank you. I missed out that deal. @ashm could you pls help me to get the receipt. Thanks

  • Can confirm $1935 including 4 additional years product care. Used Ashm's receipt to price match at Harvey in VIC and after some haggling and telling them we'll go elsewhere, they finally matched.

Heads up, apparently the 65" is all but sold out state wide with only a few units left in Mornington and somewhere else up shite creek, so if you're interested then definitely recommend going ASAP. Any store can move stock from elsewhere however may incur transport costs.

    Good luck

  • Could I also have a bit of the invoice please to [email protected]
    Thanks

  • @chich30 could you please share the receipt. I want to price match in JBhifi or Harvey. Please send it to [email protected]. Appreciate your help!

  • Thank you @chich30 :-)

  • Guys, i couldn't find the 65 inch samsung OLED TV anywhere in the stock. Pls let me know if there are any good offers for 65 inch TV.Thanks.

    • This isn't OLED it's QLED, so the blacks aren't as good as an OLED. Also this is no longer listed on JB, Harvey Norman or the Good Guys so my guess is it's getting discontinued.
