Dear abc,
Thank you for your question. Currently, you are not be able to claim optical benefits on prescription goggles from Clensify under your private health insurance. We are working on making this a possibility for our customers in the future, so if you would like to receive updates on this issue please feel free to sign up to our newsletter!
How long does the anti fog last? Usually normal goggles last a few swims then become foggy
Dear Mahalo,
Thank you for your question. All of our goggles are made with anti-fog treatment on the back surface of the lens. No anti-fog treatment is permanent and this can break down over time. Under usual circumstances of wear and tear, the anti-fog treatment should last longer than 6 months - however, the length of time that the anti-fog treatment lasts will vary based on the frequency of wear and how you take care of the goggles.
In order to prolong the life of your goggles, you will need to rinse the goggles with tap water after each use, and leave them to air dry. You must avoid rubbing the inside of the lenses, as this can damage the anti-fog treatment. An anti-fog spray should also be used frequently to prolong the anti-fog coating. It is also advisable to avoid using or leaving the goggles in hot conditions, for example in saunas or under the sun and ensure proper goggle storage in their original case when they are not in use.
Thanks for the reply. Can this be claimed if I take it to my health insurance directly?
