Once again, no love from Qantas for Canberrans.

And I really want to visit canberra again soon to see my two best friends, but I can't warrant current costs.

      • where from?

        • Airport that isn't offered any deals because its not big enough :P Ballina-Byron

          • @Originality: Drive to Gold coast or brisbane for cheaper fares?

            • @jjjjjj: I don't drive. I'd rather not explain why, but just know its not because I'm lazy.
And $239 one way from the gold coast is expensive, I can get that regularly from my local airport.
I just dont see how airlines have sails that go from brisbane to sydney for $50 or even less, but can't go to canberra for about that price on sale.

              • @Originality: QANTAS doesn't have flights "from Brisbane to Sydney for $50 or even less".

And the airlines that service Canberra don't charge that low, as they offer a higher level of service.

                • @odysseus: They have deals that go for 50 or less.. not saying regular flights.

@Originality: ooh there was a Jetstar flight last week for $2? $10? between Sydney and Ballina, could have then bussed down.

I have no idea but could you not train down to Sydney, then bus to Canberra? I've done the Murrays bus many times between SYD and CBR, takes 3 hours.

      • Canberra has pretty decent availability for points redemption. It can work out quite affordably if you're doing the credit card sign on bonus rounds.
